  • In this video i show you how to install the Laminar Aerotec (former BWS Pirker and Storka) electrical bugwipers on my Silent 2 Electro.
This plane is different in some ways to other gliders and therefor there are things which have to be considered during installation. In this video i am going to show you which they are, what i have experienced and what my workaround was.

Hey Rudi, thanks for your amazing videos :) I also think about an upgrade for my Silent 2 electro. Can you still recommend this system?

Hi Matthias, thank you for your comment! I personally really love them, especially during long flights and/or on days with a lot of bugs.
If you are interested, I would have a set of bugwipers presently for sale. In this case please send me an email to info@silent2.at . Thank you!

So far, in my experience, bugs haven't been a problem. I suspect the drag of the wipers would have more effect than the few bugs that I find after a flight.

Hi Jim, i think that depends a lot on where you fly and how much bugs you collect during flight. Of course the benefit is higher, the more bugs you have on your wings.
During my world record flight last year i would have been happy if i have had them already :-)
