Working in medicine is tough. It is VERY important to maintain a life outside of the hospital, even though that is easier said than done. It is easy to get lost in your work as a physician or as any healthcare worker. You have to maintain a life outside of work and find hobbies you truly do enjoy outside of the hospital. Here are some of my favorite hobbies, when I'm not sleep-deprived in the hospital :)

Family, Derm, Opth and Psych are bearable. there may be more that I don't know. Also if you want to go into medicine and make a good living with a great work-life balance than PA is the route.

My husband loves sneakers and we luv to travel, I have been to Africa 5 times, there’s no better education than travel. I had a friend from Croatia, did not know adrianna was also from there. My moms living with us and she’s 97 so no traveling for us now either however we won’t go anyway due to covid. Tu for your videos they are fun.

One thing we have in common is I too majored in economics and accountability but ended up in med school 🤣 Nice ! My hobby was to translate medical tv shows into my native language, but I don't have time anymore to do that. Cheers mate 🍹🍹😁

@@andreasstahl2614 I don’t know the whole deal but I guess it is sth about violating social distance rules and corona hypocrisy. That’s what I’ve seen before, have no idea about the validity. Dr.mike himself haven’t commented about it yet I guess. I think we should wait for him to do an explanation than saying people to do a reaction about someone’s probable scandalous event. Just in my opinion.

Love, love, love to travel too but the pandemic is keeping me close to home. The last trip I did was Australia before all hell broke loose so definitely grateful I had that one opportunity. I heard the stock market is going to crash so I'm a bit leery about venturing into that world at the moment. I so wish traveling was possible during this Covid stuff. I haven't even been on vacation for like 7 years. I really do love traveling though I just don't know where I would want to travel to when Covid restrictions are lifted. If it ever gets lifted that is.

Hey Dr. Cellini, just curious to know how you deal with burnout. I’m a freshman at a college in NYC but i’m stuck at home and completely burnt out. Any advice on what to do?
Umm it’s hard! I just always try to focus on the end and not get caught up in what the current environment is.
You’ll pull through Albert! I agree, focus on the end goal. And it always helps to talk to people about it. I know I’m a random stranger haha but if you ever need, feel free to reach out. Good luck man
Hope you got better! Happened to me too. Unfortunately, just 'being positive' won't help you. You have to take time to recover, slowly build your physical and mental health back up (e.g. good diet, exercise, journaling, meditation, reading once you have the focus again). And you also have to examine maybe unhealthy mindsets (if it is proper burnout, not just depression due to being stuck at home) that led you there and challenge them. For me, I also had to accept that I have personal limits that I cannot exceed, and it doesn't matter if I *like* it or if other people have different limits. That's hard but them's the breaks. Not everybody has the stamina that this guy has, it is exceptional and part of it is the luck of the genetic lottery and - also - maybe - the absence of early trauma or illness that can really throw you for a loop, no matter how 'good' you are.

While I do follow several photographers on Instagram, I don't expect that level of fancy from every day people. I like simple pictures that are just about someone sharing something that happened in their day. It's great if you want to get into photography, but I don't think people should feel obligated to buy expensive equipment for Instagram pictures. If you're building a business or brand then it makes more sense though.
