I was waiting to see the Lion Head, wow still there !!!. But I did not see, or maybe missed it on the video to see the waterfalls on the right side of the road with the hanging bridge to get to it. BRIDAL VEIL FALLS. There was another waterfalls up the road from it to the right side. But you would have to stop to walk about a 100 yards or so to see it. Maybe they have all dried up. Gosh...I missed the Philippines. Been 40 years since then. Thank you.
dmitrivalencia, sir laki talaga Ang naitulong ng video na to noong pumanhik Ako ng Baguio, sobra pasalamat ko Sayo, gabayan ka lagi ng panginoon as iyong paglalakbay,☺
The taxi drivers are honest. But the people selling strawberries or anything selling for local and foreign tourist are not honest. They came from the lowlands of the southern part outside of luzon.
Para rin akong nakarating ng Baguio. Matagal na rin akong d nkapasyal dun. Sobrang kaskasero ng driver. Nahilo ako, pero nag-enjoy naman sa byahe. Salamat po!
thanks for the vids, i pass by kennon road kung di madaling araw gabi kaya di q ma appreciate ang view, and minsan ako pa driver..pero tibay nung nagbabike paakyat ng kennon, salute!!!
After watching this lengthy video, I saw what Kennon Road was like. It also provides a maganda view of the mountains en route to Baguio City. Now I also saw why the road isn't all-weather like Marcos Highway-mainly due to rock slides. You had to take some serious chances overtaking vehicles on this winding mountain road. Salamat for another great video you shared.
Salamat sa joyride😀, galing kami dito last January lang at parang bitin ang stay namin. Kaya nang makita ko itong video mo pinanood ko agad and sa totoo lang ang saya...seeing all the sites again brought back memories of our family vacation, saya 😊. Thank you 😍
I miss baguio. everytime I sad lagi ko lng to pinapanuod video nio then narerelax ang mind ko. I love nature tlga its makes me feel cool and relax..mi next visit there hope ksma ko na family ko :-)))
@dmitrivalencia thank you for this. I've let my parents watch this before our trip on Baguio last December. We always take Marcos Highway since they are afraid of Kennon Road but when they saw your video they saw that it was not a rough road anymore unlike before. So, last December upon our trip to Baguio we took Kennon road for the first time and it was very comfortable that we avoided that traffic of Marcos Highway and the large trucks that makes it longer to get to Baguio City town proper. From Manaoag, Pangasinan (we attended a mass) it took only like an hour from the Kennon road toll gate to Baguio City town proper. (I really like to take Kennon road so I can take a pic with the Lion's head statue which I did ) THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS! if we haven't watched your video we could have taken marcos highway again and never had the chance to experience Kennon road and took a pic with the Lion's head. THANK YOU AGAIN! I subscribed in your channel last November 2017. More power!
Its like i've been there too bec of this video. Baguio is green and lots of it! So sad to see the mountain no longer as beautiful as it has to be. So many houses beside the road. Never been there ever. Siguro hindi tlga kaylan man. This is my daughters account. I saw views while driving also in Switzerland.. Its stunning! But the mountain there is not green.. Its like a big big rock! Anyway thank you for making this video.. I enjoyed it..😜😀
I love your videos sir especially the music. We also took the same road going up to Baguio with my Dad and Filipina step mom back in 1998 and it was night time. They say its perilous to drive there at night and that time there were few barricades on the side and road lights still a great ride and we made it through.
My nuhuli & asawa & I rode Victory Liner from Pasay City sa Baguio City sa Abril 21, 1980, we stayed 2 araw sa Camp John Hay. We went sa ang Kennon road. We were kasal over 1 taon Kailan sa went sa Baguio City.
Oo, sa brings back memories. Ang present Bued bridge replaced and old Bued bridge that was built nasa 1949 alin was ano call a Pennsylvania style bridge alin sa very common nasa Estado sa Pennsylvania. Many sa Pennsylvania style bridges nasa Pennsylvania are being replaced with newer non Pennsylvania style bridges.
I plan to go to Baguio when ECQ is over, do you think that's a good idea or will roads leading to Baguio be very congested after ECQ is over because everybody would be eager to go to Baguio?
Thanks for posting this, driven that road more times than I can count running to Baguio to buy vegetables! Have memories of driving up the river bed after landslides on more than one occasion....
dmitrivalencia Just call me Ray. Used to also go up the renamed Marcos Highway, and as the Naguilian Road to Bauang. Our website www.herephilippines.com explains why those roads are so familiar...
Baguio City will Never Be the Same like Before Specially with all that Jeep and Traffic... But Baguio Will Still Be in My Heart as Long as I Live. I Love Baguio. And Nice Video. 😇😀😇😀😇 You Forgot to put the Title of the Music?
***** travel time is shorter with the TPLEX even if its up to Rosales currently. Although there is still the thrill of passing the Mc Arthur Highway despite the increasing number of tricycles :-)
Thanks for that lovely joyride! Really enjoyable, traffic are not bad, the sceneries are gorgeous. I fell like I'm travelling with you.👍🙏🏻❤️😅😍😇🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😍😍
Na punta na po ako jan sa baguio 2008 pa naka jeep po kme noon yung jeep nga namin hirap umahon kse umi init yung radiator tapos ka kalsohan pa kse yung jeep namin walang handbrake eh hehehehe

Thank you for making this video sir! 1st time ko makapunta sa Baguio. Nagdecide kami ng gf ko na mag kotse na lang instead na mag bus para daw matry ko magdrive dito. Sobrang kabado ako sa idea (less than a year of driving experience here and I used a 98 civic manual trans) kase sabi sa mga nababasa ko matarik daw. Buti na lang nakita ko tong video mo sir. Minemorize ko to during lunch breaks sa work for a whole month prior dun sa trip namin. Happy to say na nakaakyat kami ng safe dahil sa video na to! Nag-Marcos Hway naman kami pababa. Thank you po uli! 😊
Eto na ang pinaka-paborito ko sa lahat ng mga videos ninyo sir (na-hook ako doon sa music). I suggest having a trip papuntang Monasterio de Tarlac. Thanks! :D
dmitrivalencia Sir, nasa San Jose, Tarlac po ang Monasterio. We went there nung Holy Thursday, nasa taas po siya ng bundok (Mt. Resurrection). Pwede siyang puntahan from Capas or Tarlac City. DM ko po kayo for the maps.
wahhh thank you so much!! hahah pupunta palang ako this coming nov 30. sobrang gusto ko makita ung lion.. and sobrang curious ako kung anung itsura kpag dadaan ng kenon.. FIRST TIME KO BES! 24yrs old na ako hahahha nagun plang hahahah
Reminds me of the time we used walk, several times (4.5 yrs), along kennon road from camp 1 in rosario to the the city proper in camp 7. Very trcherous and narrow made more dangarous because of commercial buses and cargo trucks plying the road to and from the city. Have changed a lot now, very green compared to what it lokked like in mid 70's.
Hi again saw this on a random Baguio search. I remember you from my Pasig River ferry video 7 years ago! Enjoying this video including the music...going up very soon but sadly we are not taking Kennon so I must just show the kid your video instead. I got my dad's "sakit" of shooting roads endlessly but mine are nowhere near the quality of yours. Mostly unplanned (Check out my short Nuvali blvd one). Over the holidays I took the SCTEX for the first time and also felt so awed by the beauty of the mountain range, especially as it was a glorious golden 4:30pm! Even saw a bird of prey. I did record part of the road via my old camera but had to stop as I had to do the driving. So it's nothing I can upload.
dmitrivalencia nice very cold. Traffic up there was jammed! But somehow we still got to the places we wanted to reach at the exact times we planned. Crawling an hour up to Good Shepherd was insane. A good thing was we got to eat really good food at the places we wanted, due to reservations and also walking in early. But unless you can confine yourself to stay within the BGC, or a secluded pine tree forest in Camp John Hay, Baguio is in my opinion...now sad, ugly and gray. Not the same as the 1970s or even the 1990s. We arrived home in Laguna to news of pine trees having been cut over at SM. Terrible. Sorry!
irtech 77 hehehe!
Yeah.. that is so true! :-) funny how you'll only realize the uniqueness and beauty of the Philippines when u compared it to other places.. btw Im here in Dubai so its completely different!
wow! adventure talaga yun if mga 1980's! paved roads na ngayon as I saw on other videos. Planning to do that kaso gusto ko ako lang saka isang kasama. Ayaw ko may kasama senior citizens hehehe like this trip
Looks good Dimitri. Was just there but didn't get to go to Baguio. We went from Binalonan, Pangasinan to San Juan, La Union Beaches. Long drive, wish my brother in law drives as fast you. Lol. They are super ingat over there in the Philippines. My average speed when I drive in California freeway is 75mph and up to 90mph for long drive like going to LA or Vegas.
dmitrivalencia You're right, I wish travel in the Philippines was as fast as your video. Lol. The TPLEX and other expressways are major improvements to speed up travel btw.
That feeling when you get used to trail the same vehicle for a long journey, then afterwards they gonna make a turn and leaves you alone in your route.. That's saddening bro :( 😂
Enjoyed you video. I felt like I'm one of the passengers. Hehe. You got me laughing with your "behave mode" comment. Kinda reminded me a friend of mine who have the uncanny ability to make his passengers prayerful and remember their God.
The Kennon Road should be expanded. A pre-cast/pre-fabricated steel "shed" or canopy, can be used to protect from landslide or avalanche of rocks and debris, during earth moving/expansion of the road. Right after the addition of 2 more lanes, a permanent canopy structure made of concrete can be installed that will serve as a semi-tunnel shell. That would ensure that falling rocks and water are diverted over that canopy and into the ravine.
when was this?Bro. I mean what month. missed ko na pinas. meron din dito nyan sa las vegas sa mountain resort namin dito sa Mt. Charleston. thanks for posting. more please.
No, it is not beautiful. It is very very very beautiful and breathtaking. Being a senior citizen, I enjoy it in my seat at home. And respect to the bikers. And funny, the google maps suggestion of 25 min time to drive the street.
Will be going here in April 2016 for my girlfriends birthday from UK. I loved this route 2 years ago and miss the views. I am hopping this time we can stop off at a couple of places on the way up like the lions head and maybe some waterfalls. Very very pretty. And thanks for sharing this great video. BTW wouldn't like to be biking up that like them cyclists hehe. :-)
Traveled (walked) the road from camp one to camp seven many times over, from 1976 to 78. doing geo. studies. Enjoyed, everyday I am out doing geo survey with my colleagues. It is dangerous work dodging trucks cars and speeding buses going up and down the road, making sure you don't get run over by these vehicles. This video remind me of the good old days when I was just starting out in my career as a geologist. A very cushy assignment my friends called it.
Thanks a lot! I enjoyed the ride! I've watched it so many times. It feels like a real joy ride. Hope you'll also make a video for Baguio to Ilocos Sur. 😊
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I would love any tricks you can give me.
@Grayson Hamza I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.

I am from Batangas, people of Baguio are good and honest. I enjoyed my stay there.
The taxi drivers are honest. But the people selling strawberries or anything selling for local and foreign tourist are not honest. They came from the lowlands of the southern part outside of luzon.

Ang galling nang scenery panay green ang nakikita, pero marami ditto niyan sa States na mas delikado pa and mga curvada sa Kennon road.

Thanks! We did go via Kennon...and the TPLEX was a breeze :-) By the way I am female hehe. My husband enjoyed your videos too.
jkhvo I am sorry mam! :-) How was the cold weather?
dmitrivalencia nice very cold. Traffic up there was jammed! But somehow we still got to the places we wanted to reach at the exact times we planned. Crawling an hour up to Good Shepherd was insane. funny how you'll only realize the uniqueness and beauty of the Philippines when u compared it to other places.. btw Im here in Dubai so its completely different!
Ang galing! When you have a chance I'd like to see you do Halsema Hwy to Bontoc/Sagada. I took that road in the early 80s.
wow! adventure talaga yun if mga 1980's! paved roads na ngayon as I saw on other videos. Planning to do that kaso gusto ko ako lang saka isang kasama. Ayaw ko may kasama senior citizens hehehe like this trip
Halsema highway, nakasama yata to sa top ten most dangerous road sa mundo
dimitrivalencia siguro napakalakas yan LC200.. mga 650 nm ng torque eh

dmitrivalencia You're right, I wish travel in the Philippines was as fast as your video. Lol. The TPLEX and other expressways are major improvements to speed up travel btw.
Forwarded to 2x? Not bad for a safe driving. Try halsema highway too going sagada
do take note that boulders also fall from above. sometimes it falls on vehicles passing thru kennon road.
That feeling when you get used to trail the same vehicle for a long journey, then afterwards they gonna make a turn and leaves you alone in your route.. That's saddening bro :( 😂
Jay Bumagat Ramdam ko yan sir kahit madalas angkas lang ako. Hehe

Thnks sa upload nice place ....
17:20 tsk tsk not a good move. Thickly populated ditta nga lugar ngem nagovertake ka pay. "Double yellow lanes"
Enjoyed you video. I felt like I'm one of the passengers. Hehe. You got me laughing with your "behave mode" comment. Kinda reminded me a friend of mine who have the uncanny ability to make his passengers prayerful and remember their God.
gc129calbe thanks for watching! hehehehehe! At least di po beast mode :)
That would ensure that falling rocks and water are diverted over that canopy and into the ravine.
try also a joyride in the "bitukang manok"(emee road) going to bicol

thanks mr.Dmitri for a very nice video!!!!
Ernie Lara i remember nung naglayas ako nilakad ko ang boung kenon papuntang baguio now im living here in baguio more like 9 years na lol
Thanks a lot! I enjoyed the ride! I've watched it so many times. It feels like a real joy ride. Hope you'll also make a video for Baguio to Ilocos Sur. 😊
