@@Dmane95 sorry wish I saw this response sooner. Have you found what you were asking? Watch a few Caskey interviews he talks about it because most interviewers bring it up. I can’t remember exactly which ones but I think it was a collective of them. But he was asked on bootleg kev or maybe a different interview if he was happy with his deal with birdman he said absolutely 100% he said his deal was different to where birdman heard him and wanted to financially hook him up. I think it was one of the reasons you never really heard Caskey get mentioned in the young money or rich gang lineup. But it ended up working in his favor because he coulda became washed up. The other young cats signed to those sister labels ended up getting their 360 deal and the label only put one album out for them that pretty much didn’t do much and that’s every sister label artist on cash money. Except caskey. Because he didn’t sign a typical deal. Now I wanna go back n find where I heard him say it haha

Someone asked him why he doesn’t rap like he did on Transient Classics and he said that everyone wants him to be the rapper he was when he was 16 or 17 but that he wanted to try new flows and beats and stuff. He said that it would be selfish for us as fans and that we don’t have to like all his different songs but that if you’re a fan you can at least respect it his decision to experiment.
But it doesn’t matter. He’s gonna go through this yelawolf phase where he’s making his style intricate but I think it’s gonna lead him back to his Transient Classics type sounds. But search the live on RUclips because I just paraphrased. He explains it better himself

Notice that he goes through stages. He went from this. To auto tune vibe music. Now, in the last year he’s been working on intricacy and wordplay. But he still puts out songs with depth.
