I started riding in the English style with rein contact years and years ago but your the first person to explain how to have good rein contact, rather than just "pull back till you feel his mouth" kind of rein contact which I was taught.
I am so excited to try these exercises with my older icey and her young icey mule. I wonder if sometime you can do a season on colt starting so we can also see what we could expect to have to do if we were trying this on a resistant, stiff-necked animal. Also, I hope you can do an episode or two on saddle fitting and back health? We can't get the lifted back and good posture we need, the good carrying of weight and bending of hind legs, if they are hurting from the bad saddle fit and sore back.
Great video. In a next video, could you maybe explain and and teach how to correct the shoulders when doing shoulder-in, half pass etc? My horse will pop out his shoulder while riding on the left hand, the other side he´s great. But I´m not sure exactly when he is using his shoulders correctly when moving his body.
