The tattoo poem is German, called I Live My Life In Widening Circles by Rilke. Here's the English translation:
I live my life in widening circles
that reach out across the world.
I may not complete this last one
but I will give myself to it.

I circle around God, around the primordial tower.
I’ve been circling for thousands of years
    and I still don’t know: am I a falcon,
a storm, or a great song?
I am so happy for Jimin (and all of them) getting to do what they want. I realized at last year's FESTA Dinner how affected Jimin had been by the whole situation...just his emotions that day. This really feels like he is breaking loose of it all.
I think the dancers pointing at him represent those who would hold him back/mock him/haters.
    And, yes, it's Jimmy Fallon.

The song is no.1 in 110 countries it happened in hours he is the first artist to achieve this so quickly. He basically found himself and freed himself. He doesn't care what haters say or anyone else
for that matter The first thing is I think people need to stop doing is calleing them boys they are grown men. Way past the boy stage. They are showing us all who they are as their own people
not as bts but in their own right. Bts have far surpassed kpop.

Our Jimin has made a statement. FO and leave him the Heck alone. He has endured so much since becoming a trainee. More than we even have heard of or know, including death threats. I can’t even imagine the mental anguish he has endured. He has taken a page out of Hobi’s book and set himself free from the past and the box he was pigeonholed in. This song/MV being the pre-release was very intentional. Don’t think we know what else is coming our way. This album will be 100% the Real Jimin. 👏👏 About dang time!!! It is good to see our Jimin-ah taking charge and freeing himself. 💜 I hope the past is behind him and his future is what he makes it.

Possibly my favorite enlistment era song so far. Jimin went so hard against expectations, so far away from his old persona, so different from what his solos wanted from him. He made a lot of them mad and I LOVE THAT. As for the visual artistic choices: Another much smarter ARMY than me noticed that the set resembles a panopticon. A panopticon is a theoretical circular prison where the guard tower sits in the middle. Prisoners cannot see inside the tower, so they do not know when they are being watched. They must behave as if they are always being watched. Kind of like what life might be like as a member of BTS.
The part of the choreo where the backup dancers are in three rows: An ARMY (not me) commented that the first row are wild, on their knees flailing around. The second row are standing a bit taller, yet still struggling. The back row are fully upright and steady, strong, in control. An interesting progression.

Outside of cameras and when he slips, he swears and tells sex jokes etc, you know he and Hobi are besties and we all know through vlives and BTS talking that he's not wearing clothes when they just relax in hotel rooms and home.
He is super sweet and cute but he is also a person with lots of attitude and badassness and sass and BTS has said that him and Hobi is scariest when angry, so this feels like him, one side of him. But some seem to wanna box him in as only sweet cutie, same some wanna make it as his masc image in early BTS is him and not him as soft and the more fem side of him.
I wish they could just let him be all he is and stop making it like he are only allowed to be one thing.
Edit: actually I feel this has many sides of him in it, both the more aggressive badass side and the softer but strong angel vocals.
He is cutie, sexy, lovely and badass all in one.

I know I'm repetitive when I comment this under your reactions, but it's just not enough to convey how much I'm poud of these boys 😭😭 Not only was he able to finally release his own solo music officially, but the lyrics of this song is so ☹️
"Raise your hands for the past me. Now set me free." these lines are specifically it for me. It's very remimiscent of Joon's No. 2 from Indigo when he said "You did your best back then, so there's looking back anymore". It's not as if Jimin's forgetting or erasing his past and starting anew, but rather he embraces it. And it is with this that he was able to set his true self free, like the metamorphosis of a butterfly. And knowing Jimin's past struggles, to hear him sing these lines, you just can't help but be proud of him. I can't wait to see him grow more with his own craft, my beautiful butterfly 😭💜
And there's so much more to say like this is insaneeee. From the visuals, the setting, the German poem on his body, how Jimin confirmed that it's the continuation of Agust D's Set Me Free, it's connection to ON, etc. There's a lot on Twitter, I love reading the interpretations there.

And it is Jimmy Fallon, he always been cool with BTS, great segments, funny, making them feel comfortable, genuine and fast with adding subtitles to live performances so reactors can react with subs and he shows support and that he listenes to their music even when they aren't on the show.
Jimmy Kimmel has made some bad and snarky comments so I hope he don't get BTS anymore , he also tried to make army out as crazy mob and compared BTS success to a pandemic during when the asian hate was extremely high during covid etc, do not like him.

We don’t really hear him cuss so I think the autotune is his inner voice. First verse he says “f*ck all your opps” not “my opps” so I think he’s talking to himself. Also the autotune part with the refrain saying things like “not yet” in response to what he’s singing about. The second verse with autotune I think is his inner voice telling him to let that part of him free. Saying he can be down but that negative part of him needs to shut up and get out of the way. Overall I think it’s a resolution to Lie. In Lie he’s still stuck at the end and so I think this song is him setting himself free from that lie, which is why there’s that same lift at the end but instead of it continuing all the back up dancers fall to the ground. Also setting wise for the MV I kinda think it represents being locked in his mind more than a cage, which is why he’s in all white like he cleared his mind rather than escaping from the room. His solo songs he has credits for like Lie and Promise are introspective and I think this is the same kind of thing.
