We all face silent battles, private challenges known only to ourselves and the Lord. Every now and then, life sends a reminder that our control in this journey is limited. I've witnessed someone, vibrant and full of ideas, suddenly grappling with an unrelenting headache.
In just 24 hours, they found themselves in a hospital bed, fighting for their life. I've seen dedicated parents working tirelessly for a better life for their family, only to realize that in the process, they were hardly present at home. Their children, left without the love and guidance they needed, became rebellious.
These are just a few instances, but I'm sure you can relate. Life occasionally brings us face to face with our fragility, reminding us of our lack of control.
Consider this a gentle reminder, a lovingly spoken warning. Life is fragile, and we are not always in control. May this serve as a call to cherish what truly matters and prioritize the relationships and moments that bring meaning to our lives.
Dear friend,
Consider this: Your waking moments aren't solely a result of your own strength. Your well-being isn't just because of your diet and exercise routine. No, it goes beyond that-it's the mercy of God at play.
Every day, let gratitude fill your heart for God's unwavering love. Don't boast about your strength or health. Remember, as First Corinthians 10 verse 12 advises, those who feel unshakable and self-assured should be cautious, for they may be susceptible to temptation and downfall.
We all need humility. If things are going well for you, give thanks to God, but avoid looking down on those facing struggles. No one is exempt from life's challenges. The most devout Christian and the kindest person you know have their own battles, some visible, others hidden.
So, let's approach life with understanding and empathy, recognizing that each person has their share of trials.
Hebrews 4, verse 16, speaks volumes:
"Let's approach God's throne confidently, where His grace awaits. There, we find mercy and receive the grace we need in our toughest moments."
Facing your personal challenges and private battles, remember, it's absolutely okay to seek God's help. He desires us to wholly rely on Him, to lean on Him entirely. In prayer, examine yourself closely; even though others may not be aware of your struggles, God is fully acquainted with them.
Submit to God, admit your struggles, and express your need for His help every day of your life. Now, let's go together to the throne of God:
"Father, as Matthew 11:28 reassures us, you invite those who are weary and burdened to find rest in you. We come before your throne, bowing down, seeking your help. We ask for a supernatural breakthrough, a move of the Holy Spirit to comfort us. Thank you, dear Father, for your boundless goodness and mercy."
Lord, we express our gratitude for the battles you fight on our behalf, both the ones visible to us and those unseen. We humbly seek divine protection, knowing that you understand our struggles and the challenges each of us faces.
In this moment, we call upon you, Lord Jesus, to intervene. We need your help to overcome and master the difficulties before us. I pray earnestly for everyone listening, especially for those in mourning and sorrow. May your peace and comfort envelop them. For those feeling tired and weary, infuse them with power and strength. And for those weakened by life's struggles, may you, Lord, be the mighty force fighting on our behalf.
I specifically lift up the person listening, asking that whatever they are wrestling with-be it in their spirit, mind, or body, in any area of their life facing opposition-we invoke the name that surpasses all names. King Jesus Christ, set us free, for whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Liberate our minds and bodies, granting us the freedom we seek.
