FILM DESCRIPTION:
Donna (Meryl Streep), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, is preparing for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie, the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on her big day.

I think my favorite things about this movie is that no one seemed to be taking themselves too seriously. This movie was basically "A List Hollywood Drunk Karaoke: ABBA Night" and it worked because it just seemed like everyone was having fun.
Also, I strive to go through life with as much enthusiasm as Colin Firth in this number. xD

Just finished watching Mamma Mia and now I’m asking myself why have I waited so long to watch this movie. I thought I would never see Colin Firth dancing with so much enthusiasm after what he did in “What A Girl Wants” but all I can say Colin is one of the best things in this movie.

My little brother, 8 yrs old at the time, and I, 10 yrs old at the time, forced our mom to buy this DVD for us so we could watch this movie over and over again. We were very serious about this movie and every time a song came on we would sing along...and yes we also sung along to "Does Your Mother Know" with choreographed dancing. This was always my favorite part of the movie.
The thing is everyone comparing this to the 2nd one but why don't you just enjoy it?

My school just closed our production of Mamma Mia this past Sunday. We were all going wild in this number since it was the last time we’d ever perform it. I was bawling my eyes out while I was singing. My god, I’m gonna miss Mamma Mia so much.
I was the same way in 2018 and it was the last time I worked on a fall musical and on any of the shows in high school and It was great and also my Cowboy Rides Away show I loved it

I spent my summers dancing in hotel resorts across Europe. Naturally, Mamma Mia was always on repertoire. In my last musical, I was given a role of Sophie and this was the last song before the curtain dropped. Over 300 guests came to watch the show and we got a standing ovation whilst the memory which ties me to this memory is our choreographer winking with that: "That's how it's done" expression. I always see that wide stage, and get fuzzy feeling from that magical night which I will remember as long as I live. Thank you Mamma Mia 💕

I think they are a great addition to the movie. I always laugh whenever they are on the scene, especially in Chiquitita scene.
