@@jumbodumpTezuka wouldn’t approve of some story elements but I can almost be certain he’d be absolutely flattered and love this so much. This show is proof people care about his vision long after his death. I even think he’d like Pluto. It’s got his son’s blessing.
The original Pluto's lower half is the same lower half as like 90% of the robot masters but that's a very comforting thing for me. I grew up with megaman games and seeing where all the inspiration came from when consuming astro boy was a real treat
That's because the creator, Tezuka, is the man that created anime and manga as we know it. He was inspired by Disney Studios use of large eyes to express emotion. It can't be understated how important Tezuka is to Japan when it cones to media. The man was a creative genius.
Can you imagine this anime is already 20 years old and it still looks new on top of the animation still beating a lot of stuff that has been airing even now in 2023. It helps that they really put such big care for this series and they went with the 16:9 aspect ratio which was not mainstream at the time.
It was one of the last anime to be fully cel animated commission that way intentionally, also the first Astro boy product to be made for a global release in mind. Though the English dub ruined the series plot.
@@kaisarr7632 I bought the DVD not reading the fine print that it was the dubbed version since I watched the Japanese voices years prior, it was so bad, turned it off in like 5 minutes of the first episode. Thank goodness it was in a bargain bin. I still have it around.
This was probably my First ever anime, coming even before I ever met pokémon Beyblade and ALL, I was 3 or 4 years Old, I liked so much that I even had some astro boy figures That I always had with me wherever I Go, sadly I don't know what happened to them, I was too Young to remember
Make sure it's not the English dub, they cut out so many episodes and reordered some of them around, for the 2003 version. Hopefully the warning gets to you in time, because the removed and shortened episodes really suffer from it.

So much style in this AMV. I could replay it over and over again and not feel bored. The scenes match up with the song really well, the edits fit the music and you can tell the person who made this spent a lot of time on it. My favourite part is the sequence with the characters lip syncing during the chorus, like the one at 1:17.

Wax off! no but seriously cleaning and construction both can require a fair amount of strength and endurance in the body to keep going for hours on end through a construction sight or just a large building. Elbow grease is one of the original cleaning elements for humanity :)

国産新規アニメが全部デジタル制作に切り替わってた2003年にあえてセル画にこだわって、世界中から優秀なアニメーター集めて作っただけあって20年経った今でも通用する作画レベルだし、下手すりゃ今のアニメより動きとか書き込みが上だと思う
アニメ本編じゃないパートはデジタル制作だけど歌詞に合わせてリップシンクさせたり、日本アニメの始祖たるアトムのリメイク作品だけあって細部まで手の込んでるアニメーションだ
