I saw your post on Instagram- I have been in ICU and hospital with my husband for the past month. It’s been quite the ordeal. I saw your post about self harm and you get right back up- it helps me to read history- just seeing what people went through and they never gave up. It doesn’t say to him who never struggles or doubts, it says to him who overcomes. You’re an over comer, no doubt about it. You probably don’t even need to hear this at this point but we’ve been in such a raw situation- that grabbed my heart. I don’t any other way to comment but here cause I don’t have Instagram
I watched your story about taking psychedelics and the questions you had going into it. I’m curious did God reveal to you why some Christians are instantly redeemed by God and others like myself life isn’t all rosy? My life is like Job minus the first part and the last part.
Grew up in a non religious household. Iv had a similar experience as you on psychs, I feel like I believe in Jesus but I feel like what Iv experienced isn’t what Christians talk about, it’s confusing. I’m not sure, I have a distance that I can’t cross for some reason. It’s like my ego won’t let me fully commit. I’m always trying to find the truth but it has a hard time connecting. Did you ever go through anything like this?

However I have this conflicting feeling that its going against Apostle Paul's quote from Galatians. "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.-Galatians 1:8-9" What are your thoughts, brother?
Well I do know that 1enocn is quoted in Jude and a few other places which is extremely interesting as if the writers assumed everyone knew what he was talking about .. also idk that Enoch preaches another gospel account .. I havnt read it completely I’ve only listened to it on audio halfway .. I plan to finish it. Everyone I know that’s read it says it made a lot things make more sense . 🤷♂️

Im 21 and from germany, my name is ben. As i am trying to figure out my life and to reveal what i would like to do with my time on earth i began having a conflict within me throughout this year. On the one hand i would really love to find jesus, i already read 3 gospels and i am praying to him every night for almost 2 years now. sadly i could not find him, i told myself as soon as i feel his presence in my life i will get baptized. Sadly i have never really felt gods presence and it is hard for my heart to truly believe what jesus did, as my mind cant fathom it to be realistic. On the other hand i want to get to know myself, i tried meditating and journaling to finally find out who i am and what i would enjoy doing professionally. Somehow i just cant seem to figure that out as i have found myself inside of one way streets over and over again throughout the last 4 years. I felt like psychedelics could maybe help me within that process. To me it sounds like you are having the journey i am about to embark on already behind you, therefore i would like to know if you think its worth doing? And if not, how can i figure life out only with jesus? Should i just get baptized? Honestly i really have no clue anymore haha
@neb6304 Ben, 28 year old ex-drug dealer here… I once listened to a message by Creflo Dollar entitled “The Root comes before the Fruit” and he talked about how many people think we get the faith and experience and all these “Christian feelings and emotions” first, thennnnnn we go to the Bible and the relationship but he taught that you must not only plant the seed, but you gotta water it, protect it, and give it time to grow…. I was a Christian since youth and I ended up soberly seeing UFO’s and it changed me for a while…. But years later I saw that message by Creflo and started actually trying to plant the seed no matter how little I felt of the “experience” or the “overwhelming joy or faith” years later I’m now here answering your call in the YT comment section cause I really resonate with that period of questioning the reality… it’s real Ben, He’s real, He loves you… I hope you see this reply, I pray for new encounters I. Your life in The Name of Yeshua, and I pray for any veil that is stopping you from seeing the Love of Our Father to vanish right now! Amen! Hope to hear from you!
Hey Ben, I just read your comment here and although I can’t give you an answer as thorough as Josh could, I could tell you after I got baptized as a Christian, I felt so much clearer. So much lighter if that makes sense, like physically lighter like weight was taken off of me. Baptism isn’t necessary for salvation, that’s through faith alone, but I’ll tell you after I got baptized in the Holy Ghost I began to go into the secret place more and seek Gods presence. I waited and waited and prayed hard. He showed up every time. There will be times you feel Him strong and maybe there will be times you might not feel it, but either way he is there with you. If you keep going to a quiet place that the Bible calls the secret place, and limit all distractions, he will show up every time. As a matter of fact, he’s already in that place, waiting for you!!💕 for me I like to pray in the car, or at this new spot in the woods I found, or even in the shower. Any place where it’s just me. he loves you a lot man. Keep seeking. Keep praying. Keep persisting!

I always felt like i was not worthy enough to get baptized, that i did not really earn my salvation yet... but i get that this belief is wrong, everyone of us is not worthy, it is Jesus who jumps in for our sin, right? The way you describe your experience of getting baptized exactly sounds like what i had been missing the recent years: just some claritiy. And it is also very good that you mentioned the secret place. Of course i read about it before, but i just thought of it as a literal quiet place, quiet like noise you know. But I am soooo lucky you mentioned "limit all distractions"! I never thought of this component. I always prayed in my room, as a gamer you can imagine three big screens and flashy led lights surrounding me... Thank you for that input, really was a revelation 😂 You really helped me to get closer to getting baptized, I will arrange time to do it as soon as i find a good church for it.
