i had my first lap last saturday. i was more anxious about the result than the surgery itself! 13 years of being thrown from pillar to post with my chronic pain and bad periods and i finally got my diagnosis of endo! what a relief to actually understand that it wasn't all in my head and that i wasn't suffering for nothing. honestly, the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders after 13 years is unbelievable. 6 of those 13 years my partner and i have also struggled with infertility with no answer as to why this was happening. just to hear the words 'we can confirm you have endometriosis' was all i've ever dreamed of hearing. finally an answer to all my problems.
such a shitty disease to live with but such a relief to finally have a diagnosis.
i wish you good health and happiness in life.
    may god bless you.

Really proud of you making the choice to share such raw and authentic footage of your experience. The visibility you’ve given to the ‘behind the scenes’ and what really happens on this VLOG will help a lot of women and those assigned female at birth, who may have surgery dates scheduled. Although everyone’s experience of laparoscopy/ treatment / surgical procedures may be different, your video lifts the veil on the scary unknown and answers a lot of questions on the general process, something that will ease the anxiety of someone waiting for their first laparoscopy. 💖

This was such a helpful video. I'm currently waiting for my laparoscopy to discover what's been going on but I've had all clear scans and bloods. Some doctors say it's likely to be endo but then others say it's probably not so I'm really worried I go through the hassle of the surgery but I'm just in so much pain that I feel like it's not worth not doing it

I’m 19 and having my first laparoscopy on Wednesday this week, I’m really nervous. I’ve had such an awful time through my teens, not being able to go to school or have a life really, due to the pain, fainting, heavy bleeding etc and my doctors finally told me they think I have endometriosis last year. I’m really nervous but I’m even more scared that they won’t find anything, because if it’s not endometriosis then I don’t know why I’m struggling this much. This has helped me calm down a lot, thank you x

I’m having a diagnostic laparoscopy on Tuesday 20th April to see if I do have endo. My consultant definitely thinks I do have it, but we obviously need the surgery to officially diagnose it. I was misdiagnosed in September last year with appendicitis and they removed my appendix and I was in hospital for three days after that, but it turned out my appendix was completely normal but they did say that my ovaries and Fallopian tubes were quite inflamed when they were taking my appendix out. Since September, I have had 8 hospital admissions with severe tummy pain, only to be told it was constipation (I know right) but the last time I had the pain, it was so severe that I actually collapsed and became unconscious for a period of time. I decided to go private and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I can’t wait to finally have the surgery and hopefully find out what’s going on inside my body🤍

I completely understand. Don’t be Afraid to ask for help or advice from doctors and nurses. Our bodies are truly incredible even though they can also cause so much pain! Just remember pain is like a warning light on a car, you should always get it checked, it’s our bodies way of telling you that something is wrong so you doing this surgery and investigations is so sensible. I found recovery a lot easier than expected, everyone is different but try not to put too much pressure on yourself. 💛

I had severe pain for nearly 2 weeks, but after complete recovery I feel good, but when I wear tight pants I have pain on the operated region. Hello! So glad you’ve recovered now, appendicitis can be horrific! That’s awful that you are still having problems with pain 2 years on, I can’t really comment as not a medical professional and also had a different procedure done, but I would say in my experience the incision sites themselves stay sore and sensitive for about 8 weeks and I can’t personally wear jeans/ tight trousers for a good few months but it definitely settled down for me.
