Is sugar all that is added to the garlic in the jar? I do garlic fermented in Honey, but that has to be bashed first. I haven't seen garlic done like this before, but it looks really interesting as another way of preserving.
Its important to notice that it's young garlic, usually the one you can buy at the grocery store is a bit aged (except in spring, its younger than usual), so try to buy garlic from a farmer's market if you recreate the same effect, and using honey is a great idea thx

This is why I was wondering if sugar was the only thing added to the jar, since there was so little salt added to start with in the bowl. There are no proportions given either, so it's hard to tell if there are least amounts to use to make this safe.
