M7As have 920 projectile speed which is atrocious! Light strikes have 1656 mps which is at least viable for hitting squirmy targets. Galdereens are faster but then you’re using repeaters. I ended up getting the QI version for extra utility. These look like great fun!
I look at these two ships like this. The base is a white van with a moving service logo on the side. The QI has free candy. Both are capable of unspeakable things but one is way more likely. Balance passes may change that but it won't change it in the QI's favor. I'll stick to the base.
This is honestly what I wished the scorpion to be, don't get me wrong, base scorpion is damn fun to run solo or with a friend, but.. hurricane is just better when running with a friend. I turned one of my LTI tokens into the Qi, seems like a fun solo heavy fighter~
So after all which one is ur recommendation for a solo bounty hunter boss? I mean is the mobility difference actually quite obvious, or it's just totally worthy for +$10 for the QI
I love the QI, but I think I'll stick with my F8 and hope its turn rates get a little buff. It's too slow to be the premiere dogfighter for the UEE as it is right now.
Absolutely love this ship, so glad I picked one up! Sadly I can't actually use it in game (hangar-spawning issues) but I burn through Arena Commander on it quite frequently. Great review as always!
Vs standard this one will prob get some sort of nerf, 1 less weapon or something... but both are under powered and shielded vs the heavy hitting heavy fighters. I do agree with others the base paint looks nicer... the only upside to the guardian is you can just go out without swapping weapons and be content. The vanguard you need to swap weapons to be more efficent
I really want to play this game, but I cannot pay for a ship. Their prices are high. I wish they would add a ship for 10 dollars. following you from Algeria. I loved your videos.😇
Went ahead and bought one. Not sure the base or this variant will be better. But the 10 usd made no real difference. In the end I want a solo fighter with a bed to log out in and a good range without the need to restock guns and some fun flight dynamics. So this hit the sweet spot. Pope it does not get nerfed too badly, which is my big sore point as a long term backer. We get screwed a bit too much. I know it kept me investing in newer and better ships, but it still feels sore.
Idk, as good as a Heavy fighter with Interior sounds... idk. This thing is for short ranged they said? Then why does it have a bed or interior in the first place. Also, the Weapons sound and look powerfull. But i feel like i can ditch out more DPS with a Sabre. Just cause you can hold your target longer in sight. After flying this ship im disapointed. What i whould want is a more Medium/Heavy fighter with interior and just a standard weapon layout of like 4xS3 or maybe a bit stronger.
And probably gonna stick with the base as I don’t see myself in a bounty hunting / pirate player currently however I will probably made it a goal to get in game Incase I need one… just wish the colors of the QI were on the base
Unfortunately my Qi's quantum dampener doesn't work on the 4.0 Preview. Only in arena commander. Cannot find a work around in 4.0 to get the toggle switch to say activate once it's turned on. Ships broken lol
If I was flying solo, I'd genuinely consider the Fat Fury as the weapons, cockpit view, internal living area is really nice. But, I like having the options my Harbinger has. Room for a second person in my turret, 2 beds and 3 S5 torpedoes. Just cant match that. But again, if I knew I was going out solo, the Guardian would be a solid second choice.
Scorpius is faster, higher DPS, and has 34% more shield, but requires two pilots. Funny how the Scorpius is minimalistic while seating two in a classic fighter jet cockpit where the Guardian is a full flying apartment but a much better solo fighter. I would say the Guardian is just overpowered but if it's designed to be weak to hits on the center hull then that somewhat evens things out. Dogfight analysis will be interesting.
Such a nice ship. But for me the dampener and fewer but stronger missiles isn't for me. The base has the maneuverability and speed I need to run away if I can. I suck at combat!
I have been looking for an excuse to buy something. But I am kinda disappointed, at least for now since the Mantis does a better job of QI. I would be curious to see a F8C vs Guardian fight. (You would have to run a few tests with both pilots switching ships)
The QI looks interesting but I'm going to wait because CIG has this nasty tendency to nerf stuff a month or two after the sale (and refund window) ends. So I just got a CCU to both variants and will just wait and see how/if CIG will nerf them first. Personally I think it needed 2 shield generators instead of just one. Also, that exterior gun rack seems to fall off as soon as it gets hit; resulting in you losing any guns stored there.
I want to love this ship so badly, but in my experience with it so far, it's just too fragile to be much use. Just like the Fury, if you take even a little bit of damage to a single wing, you are as good as dead since you will be unable to control the ship at all.
The interior of this ship is the icing on the cake, incredible

@@EvenLease44 looks like I'm not alone with this early-stage theory, some rumours say it's premiere is set with Invictus 2955 with both TAC and Perseus
I don't need interdiction, but there's no trade off (at the moment) to not getting it. I have the CCU if I ever do want it.
So after all which one is ur recommendation for a solo bounty hunter boss? I mean is the mobility difference actually quite obvious, or it's just totally worthy for +$10 for the QI
My favorite heavy fighter 🥰
I love the QI, but I think I'll stick with my F8 and hope its turn rates get a little buff. It's too slow to be the premiere dogfighter for the UEE as it is right now.
Lore wise, the F8 Lightning is supposed to turn like a medium fighter. Someone in the gameplay department missed that cue.
Great video
Absolutely love this ship, so glad I picked one up! Sadly I can't actually use it in game (hangar-spawning issues) but I burn through Arena Commander on it quite frequently.
Great review as always!
Vs standard this one will prob get some sort of nerf, 1 less weapon or something... but both are under powered and shielded vs the heavy hitting heavy fighters. I do agree with others the base paint looks nicer... the only upside to the guardian is you can just go out without swapping weapons and be content. The vanguard you need to swap weapons to be more efficent
It's a fantastic ship, though I prefer the base model as I'm more a PVE rather then PVP.
I really want to play this game, but I cannot pay for a ship. Their prices are high. I wish they would add a ship for 10 dollars. following you from Algeria. I loved your videos.😇
Never mind their prices, the game is plagued with bugs and issues.
Myself, I prefer the regular guardian. Thats just me. BU tthis is a good price for what it does. I do think they need an extra shield, though.
I got the QI purely as the paint looks better
If I was flying solo, I'd genuinely consider the Fat Fury as the weapons, cockpit view, internal living area is really nice. But, I like having the options my Harbinger has. Room for a second person in my turret, 2 beds and 3 S5 torpedoes. Just cant match that. But again, if I knew I was going out solo, the Guardian would be a solid second choice.
Your buddy can't log out in your ship and torpedoes like that are expensive now, so it's meh
Thanks comandante
They should cut the ship HP by 30% and give it a 2nd shield instead
Base model wins my vote
I dunno if I should get this one or the standard variant
Both good options, but if you don’t plan on trapping targets then the base would be the better option.
Of course can always upgrade from Guardian to Guardian QI if you decide you really want it's special feature.
Its new, will play with it while its fun and fresh. Once post nerf/balance happens it will be melted and then on to the next shiny new ship.😂
I will say this it needs more power and lower the size of the guns to size 4 and not 5
I went with the QI as there isnt much of a draw back and with my flying skills I wouldnt notice the difference LOL
I'm not sure why but the price point seems too high for me. This is from a person with a harbinger
Theres a second personal storage under the bed!!!
Yes! I did show that one also.
