It's weird. I mountain bike and surf. When I watch guys crash on their mountain bikes, I cringe. When I watch guys wipeout surfing, I laugh, no cringing (unless it's super huge and heavy). However - myself speaking here - in all the injuries I've earned in both surfing and mountain biking, I've been by far much worse injured or come close to death while surfing. You'd think it'd be the other way around.

Yeah, I have felt like I was going to drown surfing, like a near-death experience, so I will give you that. But I crashed jumping the MTB and broke my scapula and 5 ribs, which is far worse than any injury I have had surfing

Man thats crowded I wish I could take a way back machine to Ascension island Me, Rusty, George, Jon and Jim anchoring the beach with a cooler full of beer, clear water short surf trunks completely sunburnt shredding deadmans...
