Great video. Thank you. I also found it works great in conjunction with field Parameters. You can create field parameters that include Name, description, address field etc. Then use this value as input. Next - add a tile slicer underneath with these values. The user can then choose which field to 'text search' in.
This is a great feature. Works very well with direct query, where you don't need to load all values first. However I would like a checkbox in the format settings for Exact match. I'm using the visual to retrieve info regarding a case number, and when I try to search the case number 100 I also get number 4100, 1000, 21001 etc. My work around is to add a character like - (minus) in front and at the end of the case number field in the query, and type -100- when searching. Not a pretty solution, but it works. I hope they fix this in the final version.
Is there any way to highlight the results in the resultant EnglishDescription? For example, when you typed Water, could we get all results WHERE water was found highlighted?
@@rikhillakhani Thanks for your quick reply, but i am not sure i got what you are trying to say. Imagine i have a slicer on the ID column which i am trying to filter let's say 1000 ID's that i had recieved in a CSV file, by copying the list to the text filter, how can i realize that.

Awesome that we will have it builtin. What if we want to search for multiple separate words across the filed? Can we separate them with ;
There is already custom visual available in store for this functionality. Now its default visual provided by Microsoft

How do you filter on multiple values...I want value A, B, and C and exclude x, y and z?
Exactly what we are looking for.
Concatenate those fields create new column and use that field in slicer
