MY ABILITIES BEFORE SURGERY | SDR SURGERY JOURNEY | DAY IN THE LIFE

Today January 6th 2022 marks one year post Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy surgery that Dallas had. In this video we share Dallas' abilities before surgery. This was the raw video that was used to apply for SDR surgery in Octoboer 2020. She was accepted and had her surgery a few months later.
She had her surgery at St. Louis Childrens Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri by the world renowned Dr. Park.
SDR is a surgery performed on patients with spastic cerebral palsy. It is a surgery where the doctor enters through the spine and cuts nerves to reduce spasticity in the lower limbs. The surgery is used to help people gain greater control of their muscle, reduce spasticity and hopefully gain motor movements. To learn more about SDR please visit the website below:
