- Here's my fan art of Amegakure, the “village hidden in the rain” from the anime Naruto. Its one of my favorite environments due to the fact that it is always raining. The music is from the anime, its called "Girei".

Yeah. Itachi's debut was also the Akatsuki's debut, creating mystery and fear for what the rest of these guys can do. And then we see their leader, who essentially sits on a throne in (by Naruto's standards at the time) a mysteriosly cyberpunk village with entirely unexplainable eyes at the time, in an anime that maybe on a subconscious level tells us that one's eyes speak to their power, even if it isn't a dojutsu. Like Orochimaru

I just realized those antennas could actually be the chakra receptors pain uses, making the entire city under his eyes and ears, along with the rain it really would be godlike to be him
Yes, thats how nagato protect his hometown..1 person and cover whole inside his detection range.
Probably used to protect his people from intruders.

I think the hidden rain was the most advanced civilization in the Naruto verse. They had skyscrapers before everyone else.

Maybe in terms of the hidden villages, but you have to remember the ninja villages aren't the entire world. There's normal people living all over and I'm pretty sure some of the regular towns in the land of fire might have more advanced tech than we know. Also the hidden rain was a smaller village so it makes more sense for them to build closely and upwards. Konoha had no reason to do this as there was plenty of room.
They need to build tall structures otherwise they would sunk
Rōran, Land of Sky, Land of Snow, Mist village in Boruto.
The hidden rain village is my most favorite places in anime! The concept of living in a village with the constant pressure, feeling, thought that a mortal God doesn't no exist and also does exist is watching everyone non-stop, including yourself is so good! He is the self-proclaimed leader who rules you in a way you don't notice. People fear him and worship him. Thank you for bringing this place to life!

This similiar with many religions, God's role as "Big Brother" over his subjects. Although unlike 1984 where Big Brother is just a human and you're also human that's mean things supposedly equal that's why people oppose totalitarianism while in religion, God is your creator and your very existance is the result of his wills and planning so for the faithful it's not that heavy feeling in heart to submit.
You can move to China, then. You will get the closest to that feeling. A classmates had an internship there and upon leaving, he was due to parole in front of a security service where hd pictures and clips of all of his wrong doing in the streets and some clubs where displayed. The wrong doings weren't prison worthy (throwing empty cans in a back alley kind of stuff). He only got fined.

@@playerx7689 I was thinking along the lines of the political situation of this village depicted in the anime. A place of strict authoration regime, where outsiders are not welcome and general poverty seems to strike the local populace. From what I know of North Korea, something like that.

The open-world part extended upon the other villages instead of the linear story and arena online fights wouldve been nice

The fact we didn´t made Pain even more misterious. Some things are ok just as they are.
Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, and Boruto should be remade with UE5 3Danimation in 8K60fps quality!

Pain theme is one of the best villain themes I have ever heard 🔥
He isn't a villain.
Naruto had some really interesting environments. I think they could have expanded on that a lot, like the local culture of the different cities and places, the people living there, etc. They visited a few places early in the story but abandoned that quickly.

The writer had planned a lot more world buiilding, but the reality of the Mangaka world was that he had to write something crazy every week to keep the rating high so he was forced to skip a lot of small missions he planned after the initial Zabuza arc and went straight into the Chunin exam for example and I'm sure there was more he wasn't able to include in the story because of similar reasons.

@@jancarlosmanon4556 I'm guessing by "Sasuke Fest" you mean him getting the curse mark in the Chuunin exam and everything that happened in the show after that up to Sasuke leaving? Naruto and Sasuke are reincarnations of the Sage of Six paths sons. Sasuke is the reincarnation of the son that had a lot more darkness in him so it wouldn't have made sense for him to be a good boy and stay in Konoha. Sasuke leaving had to happen and it was an important arc.

Really, the grandeur that this personage conveys is that of a god, Pain is by far the best antagonist in Naruto
Pain and Amegakure is so unworldly. It's like they belong in the other dimension that we, mortals, cannot go.

It's raining now in my city. A heavy rain, cloudy night, cold winds... Playing this was pretty satisfying
This olace gives me creeps. Even though it is not real yet goosebumps all over thr body. Add to the fact that some powerful being is continuously watching you. The tension, pressure and fear are constant here. And rain adds the gloom to the overall environment!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hidden Rain Village didn't have these tall buildings when Hanzo was still the leader right? I remember during Nagato's flashbacks the landscape seemed more like a desert area (with the rain of course) and the houses looked like igloos. No skyscrapers
Maybe they were near a more rural area
Actually, since hanzo still the leader, Amegakure already built so many weird industrialized-buildings. Small and different architecture town or village you have seen are rural areas located throughout Land of Rain and most of them are located near border
This wasnt the inner town. More outside. There are just a few years of training with jiraiya between founding Akatsuki. The couldnt build up all that buildings in that short period

Fine after months of ignoring this video thinking it was some game stuff, I couldn't resist Pain's absolutely aesthetic tower tongue-out statue and was hoping it had the Hidden Rain/Pain's theme, and it delivered well. So chilling and ominous! The 3d render was nice! 12.3.2023
