    Awesome video and thank you for the feature! This batch of the 1" band buds had a slightly tighter opening than expected. It does work with the bars I have which are the typical chrome 1" barbells, so possibly yours is right at 25mm or larger. I recommend people to measure their 1" barbell sleeves first to make sure they are just slightly under 25mm, and I also added a discount to account for this. These are slightly more expensive than the 2" version due to more parts and the internal double ball bearing construction.

    It’s so easy now to implement bands into a workout. The Geku fit plate and bar seem like cheap alternative to x3 and harambe. And you can rig up the bands to a regular weight bar and still use a cheap plate to make the workout even better. Great video highlighting all the budget onions

      Thanks brother. Not everything is necessarily a "budget" option, but for the space and what's possible, it can give larger set ups a run for their money.

    Thanks for addressing a great topic and for the motivation! My current setup is part of a bedroom. I have a set of 5-90lb PowerBlock dumbbells, 2 sets of bands, a VA squat belt, foot plate, bench and pullup bar. Pretty minimal setup but it works well for tearing down the fibers.

    I go back and forth with the idea of just buying a relatively cheap 1inch barbell and a bunch of 1 inch plates. I don't really see a lot of "home gym" people talk about them, they seem like a really good option to save money, and space, and not complicate things so much. I know you get what you pay for. I've made my home gym work with just some bands, a foot plate, a bar for the bands, and recently added some adjustable dumbbells and a bench which have been amazing. Also added a wall-mounted pull up bar which takes up literally no floor space, my whole setup can fit in just a few square feet when not in use.

      @alexfish477 4 дня назад

      It's definitely worth it. You can get so much out of a small 1" bar and a few weights. My whole home gym was made around 1" plates. I don't Olympic lift so I didn't feel like I was missing out on any function. I did have to switch to 2" recently. I moved to a NYC apartment and bumper plates are so much quieter.

      I've seen some really impressive set ups in apartments sent to me. I guess it really depends on how sensitive the floors are for the neighbors.

      I was going to add that in there as well, but thought it might add another "thing" to the theme of "weight plus bands". But for sure if space is limited and you don't want a cable set up, a TG is perfect as well. Thanks Mrs. H, always good to see you in the comment section

    I love how many options there are now for Home Gyms and look forward to more innvative and inventive products like these so that people dont have to be stuck to just one ecosystem and can mix and match with what they have. No longer do people have to buy into X3 or Harambe (though they are awesome systems for sure) but can take any loop style bands and attatch these to their standard or olympic barbell and get multiple resistance curves.
    I love seeing how you play around with all the equipment you have and incorporate new things too. It ignites a fun desire to play around with my own limited equipment in fun ways.

    • @thomdushane
      @thomdushane 5 дней назад

      Not the ironmaster. I ended up with a small 1" bar like you have as part of a starter bench set and so steered toward 1" plates and dumbbells via offerup, a great resource for cheap weight. I also have the same amazon plates that you've featured on your videos. I would say a pullup/dip station is invaluable, especially if you get a weight belt.

    One set to failure with bands, or multiple sets?

    • @hybridresistance
      @hybridresistance  5 дней назад +1

      Really depends on your personal preference and overall application on how you use them. I mentioned in the video that bands can great as either a pre-exhaust or compound set further increase intensity or make up for shortcomings on another body part/exercise. But short answer is both will work.

    Hi Mike, I think you're going to have to expand the room, the torture chamber is too small to hold all those wonderful toys. And I know you love to try new equipment when it comes out to be the first guy on the block to have it before anyone else.

      The sad reality is some of this stuff will be thrown away. Nothing really in this video. But friends don't always want equipment, usually you can't donate fitness stuff, and selling it is more of a chore than what it's worth. I got the clutter so you don't have to!
