    It was nice that you documented this journey 😊 it warms my heart to see you manifest your dream. And makes me believe. Mango "i know it will come true we will have our own land growing fruit"❤ and here it is, anything is possible
    I think you were very blessed to be able to capture the interaction between raw vegan atheletes, a raw carnivore and fruitarian, all with different perspectives. The debate about drinking water and exercise with durianrider was very comical😂. I thought Ian said something wise about accepting others "48:00"
    We are currently in the mountains in Brazil, my sweet Peach(my love) is currently fasting to help get rid of a bump in her eye. Its jackfruit, pitaya and mango season which im harvesting daily along with drinking and eating local watermelons through out the day.

    Just watched. Found it enjoyable viewing.
    Over twenty years ago I knew a guy called Clinton Carty who ran(and still owns I believe) an organic shop in Magill in Adelaide. Anyway back then I knew he was buying some land up in the tropics to grow fruit trees etc, so I'm guessing the Clinton mentioned in the movie is this same guy.
    Also I hope you don't mind answering if you used to know a guy called Rene Beresford, who used to run a fruitarian network near Cairns(Trinity Beach). I did meet Rene a few times in the late 1990's, and unfortunately the last time I saw him approximately 15 years ago, his health had really deteriorated and he told me about his many health problems internally. I felt sorry for him. He used to write some fantastic stuff about fruit.
    Also, I have watched some videos with Anne Osborne getting interviewed. Do you guys know her?
    Thanks.
    Simon.

    • @mangowodzak
      @mangowodzak  Месяц назад

      Yes, indeed, it's the same Clinton.. he owns the property named Fruitopia where some of the filming of this doco took place.. And yes, we both knew Rene back in the day when he was still producing his fruitarian magazine. Rene was a great guy, but had a lot of trouble sticking to the fruit diet he clearly believed in. Cooked food lured him many times. He passed back around 2010/2011 .. no longer recall exactly when.. And we of course know Anne.. She and I grew up just 15 kms from each other back in England.. She now lives not that far from us too, but we haven't run into her for many years... Hugs to you Simon..

    • @mangowodzak
      @mangowodzak  8 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you! I suggested to Emile that he come back to Australia and create part 2.. But I think he is busy with his own life and family at the moment, so if that ever happens, it likely won't be any time soon.. We could make part ii ourselves, but that would be a huge learning curve for me to tackle first, as I really don't know too much about video editing.. It's something I have at the back of my mind though.. perhaps one day!
      meanwhile though, I have pretty much finished writing part 2 of autobiography, and have just ordered the first copy of it for one final proof reading.. it's over 500 pages.. i have some final touches to make with it, then will publish.. hugs to you all there!

    • @mangowodzak
      @mangowodzak  7 месяцев назад +3

      thanks Leapin! We've learned that there's no point in being offended about such things.. Many people are forever judgmental wen they hear of us just eating fruit, always trying to find a reason why they think it can't possibly work or why it's plain wrong or silly to do so.. people are entitled to their opinion, even if they have no idea what they are talking about, which is true in most cases.. we really don't expect for anyone to really get us unless they are already working on themselves and can see how messed up so much of human thought is.. and even then, grokking fruitarianism may be too far outside of their familiarity and comfort zone.! hugs!

      thanks Cody.. if one is determined with anything, one can make it work.. I do understand and sympathise with financial difficulties as I've struggled with them myself in the past, but somehow I've always managed to get by.. resorting sometimes to dumpster diving or catching the end of local markets can often help, as stall holders are generally keen to offload what they have left at bargain prices.. and just keep a look out all around for any bargains in supermarkets, or even better keep a map of local fruit trees in your area that are free to harvest from.. often people with loaded fruit trees in their front garden will be happy for you to come in and take some if you ask nicely. you'll likely be doing them a favour as they'll end up rotting on their lawn if you don't.. if you really can't make it work where you are, and feel strongly about wanting to stic with fruit, then it's time to up and move! I wish you all the best and many fruitful blessings!

    I am a health professional. It would be helpful to explain why Kveta appears to have bilateral foot drop, and uses a walking stick.
    Has she had the cause of this clarified medically?
    It may be peripheral neuropathy. Below are the things that can cause them:
    Diabetes
    Alcohol
    B12 deficiency = this is a major risk factor of a fruitarian diet.
    Guillain Barre Syndrome
    Toxins (lead, mercury, zinc, arsenic)
    paraproteins
    hypothyroidism
    Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, vasculitis
    Amyloid deposits
    Porphyria
    syphilis, HIV
    sarcoid
    paraneoplastic neuropathy
    Personally, my view is if one cannot do 25 hours a week of light to moderate manual work then they must question whether they would have survived at any time in human history.

      We don't get nutrients from food and our body is condensed energy and is not built from food. Food only stimulates cell activity. So called 'vitamins' and 'amino acids' are synthesized by our gut bacteria. Their true nature and purpose remains to be discovered. Vitamin D for example is just a waste product, a proxy marker for sun exposure, not a nutrient.

      breast milk contains somewhere between .8% and 1.8% protein.. this is a time of life (the breast feeding years) where protein is said to be particularly necessary due to rapid growth.. yet such a low percentage? fruit is said to contain between 1 and 2.5% protein.. percentages vary.. but I would imagine this to be more than adequate..
      Of course you are right about medical professionals not exactly supporting a fruit diet.. that much is pretty obvious.. but I personally don't hold much faith in the medical profession who spend virtually no time studying nutrition.. the role of the general practitioner is more one of a legalised drug pusher..
