I was pleasantly surprised to find my Number 1 spot the same as your choice! I was stationed in Misawa Japan with the U.S. Air Force from Sept 1984 - Sept 1988. We attended two Cherry Blossom Festivals. They are so beautiful, and the festival was really fun. A young man back then with a cold drink. Really nice!

My favorite cherry blossom tree is the one planted in a small park in my neighborhood, and I look at the blossoms as they begin to bloom, thinking, "A year has passed," and then watch the petals fall, hoping to see them again next year.
I have three cherry trees blossoming outside my flat, my balcony practically sits in the canopy of one, the blossoms are beautiful, I remember my childhood home had a massive one! The blossom got everywhere!

I went to Japan for spring of 2010 I stayed for two weeks I visited 6 cities it's very clean and beautiful and very expensive too, very pleasant people I'll go back again.

In 1912 the mayor of Tokyo presented the city of Washington DC with gifts of cherry blossom trees .Ever since ,the annual national cherry blossom festival has been a highlight of tourism for the city.
Due to the lockdown many events have canceled and this time blossom has started early in China. Lucky that i was safe inside my campus and got witnessed to such a great glory! 😇
