- Hey everyone! In this vlog were are taking off the Honda Del Sol fabric seat covers in hopes to get some new templates made to use in the future!

I had mine redone in black leather with red inserts and del Sol script sewn in on the headrests. Expensive but worth it.
This sounds great and hope to hear this will be available soon as it will really support the DelSol community and keep these cars surviving.
Did we ever get those templates for the seat covers? I have a 93' fully converted SI and the seats are super beat. It is my first car and there was already a hole in the driver seat bolster when I bought it 10 years ago. I would totally sew up some new covers if I had the templates to do so!

Stoked to see how these turn out. My sol seats in Frankenstein definitely need a refresh.
Even though youve already made this vid that seat handle just needs a few whacks on the back side of it and it basically slides forward(towards the front of the car) you might need a flat head wrapped with something(tape)to protect the plastics and a rubber mallet. And just a heads up for anyone doing the same you need to have the handle up/seat back needs to go forward.
I noticed it has been 9 months since you have posted your contact the seat covers.
I am not an expert but there is not much capital outlay and you have the product design already.
Any update? Any information why it is taking this long and how long to go?

The fabric was probably glued to the foam and came loose.

That really sucks that the guy ghosted you I can't find any good fabric replacements for the seat upholstery

My seat covers are glued so heavy, i destroy the foam, if i put them off. I want to get new covers, because the red leather seats are in my garage and you sweat a lot in the sun with them xD. I bought old normal ones and want to refresh them. BTW I take a little bit of the foam of the lower part to lower the seat position :)
How are you coming along on your little project?

I'm doing my seat covers as we speak, I got the headrest clips out no problem but the headrest itself seems to be stuck there, rusted in possibly. Any tips to free it up to remove it?

Most likely for the SRS system, tells the system if that pass seat belt is locked in probably for airbag deployment. Most orange connectors/plugs though are used for ABS and yellow connectors/plugs are for the SRS system. Hope this helps.
Maybe for a heated seat option? The srs idea seems reasonable too
