You're one of the only people I've come across that's played this so well. Most people try to put their own spin on it and make it a mess This is beautiful
I'm listening to this and can picture the 3 Mariachis walking down the dusty streets of Mexico with their instruments...to right the wrongs. Excellent cover!
Thanks for posting this video, it means a lot to me. El Mariachi or Desperado has not gotten much media or RUclips attention in many years, I feel as if the franchise has become forgotten. Thanks for shedding some light on El Mariachi once again.👍
So I bought a spanish guitar because I wanted to learn Mexican style music, I learned a little more Flamenco and Portuguese Fado than proper Mexican music but I found out about "El Mariachi" one day and said "oh this looks cool" and oh boy, only movie I've watched entirely in Spanish, I also recommend it for many people.
@@LesNouvelle-Angleterreur I too prefer Spanish and Argentine style guitars, but the Robert Rodriguez soundtracks are definitely the Mexican exceptions.👍
@@mopes2713 Now I haven't really watched "Once upon a time in Mexico" besides the guitar testing scene but from what I remember I just couldn't watch it. The first had this almost Amateur feel and the limited sometimes "cheaper" shots for the time it came out gave it this dream like familiar feeling. The story, I'll admit, was kinda a typical movie story, but with the atmosphere and acting and definitely the soundtrack the classic "Wrong place wrong time mix up" story came off as fresh and almost natural. The second film, Desperado was clearly a big step up in budget, I liked this villain more. However I felt confused for a quarter to half the movie assuming this was a retcon/remake at first. Sorry for my long paragraph like replies, I'm alone in a hotel and woke up way too early, saw this video and decided to pass time reading comments, I would've passed it by if I didn't agree 100% with what you said. I wish there were good Irish-American films that take that approach rather than "Irish cop alcoholic lives in Boston". Take the Departed for example, while it failed to capture my attention every scene it was a great representation of my cultures "dark side" when it comes to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Film has really become an attempt to emulate mushrooms or lsd with all this flashing explosions, action computer made scenes, and copy paste plots just to keep you visually entertained and stimulated yet you're not thinking "Wow how is this guy going to be a hero?" As with El Mariachi it's a pennyless nobody who wakes up one day and doesn't even expect the saftey of the boring life to drastically change, yet his wild ride in a matter of No Time had to mold him into that moral scale. He didn't start as the hero, we don't look up to him rather we feel for him, we've been in those situations where we just have our lives collapse out of no where in one day. We worry for every bullet shot at him, only to root for him in what aspect? His romantic interests and his music. That's why I truly see this as an amazing film.
@@LesNouvelle-Angleterreur as a gen z, really enjoyed the desperado 2 movie for different reasons, the premise was really cool, the villain was cool, the action wasnt that ridiculous, up until the second half of the movie, it felt kinda like Tarantino meets mexican and indian soap operas at that point.
