- In this video I am talking again about Maestro the tool for mobile test automation. The Maestro development team just shipped a new version of Maestro after talking to the engineering community about a new feature. The feature is called Maestro studio. The developers asked the community what to implement next. And just 7 days later the new feature went live 🤯.
It's just great to see how fast Maestro is being developed and that the developers are listening to the community using the tool.

That sounds really good and thanks for sharing, automated testing is getting easier than it was years before, especially with those tools like Maestro Studio. 😀
Maestro Studio runs without Windows + WSL2?
I only see it work on Mac and Linux
Hi, have you tried the official instructions here: maestro.mobile.dev/getting-started/installing-maestro/windows ?
Can we implement a POM structure similar to appium. Also, can we write multiple tests in a single .yml file
As far as I know you can't create a POM structure like in appium. Maestro focus on flows in yml files. What you can do is you can nest yml files. Add generic things in a yml file and call this file from another one.
can i connect to database or do api calls?
No, this is not the goal of this tool. It's main focus is to automate from user perspective and to drive the UI.
