ah thank you so much, thats really kind. yes it was our first visit to Maggiore but we have visited Como on a few occasions. whilst we prefer Como, Maggiore isn’t without its plentiful charms, just remember to remortgage the house if you visit the Swiss side of the Lake!

I would find it difficult to drive and keep my eyes on the road with a coastline like that going past. It looked real nice walking as well, apart from the 'lookey lookey' men. To be fair that was a dam reasonable meal, prices very good indeed, with a view to die for and 'delicious' food. For the same money in the UK you could have had a coffee and two bits of cake🥺. Its so expensive here in the UK isn’t it? We do love Italian prices, i could have sat by the side of that Lake eating and drinking for 8 hours freshly cooked food and branded drinks for the same price I would have paid for a half hour salad with worse views just a few miles up the road in Switzerland. the ‘lookey lookey’ men ive only ever encountered in Egypt and Africa, im guessing because of the tourist draw from all over Europe for the market thats why they have them. they were very pushy and i got upset seeing how people less able to defend themselves were getting marauded. they were definitely swoops of joy in finding the calendar, which reminds me it needs turning over, a lovely shot of Isola Bella! bellisimo! ♥️

Such a beautiful drive beside Lake Maggiore. The low mist creates a very atmospheric scene across the lake. I always love places where there are plenty of places to sit and watch the world go by. But I dislike being harassed by sellers, it is a shame. Bargain prices for food!!! It looks lovely!!

Thanks so much Alistair, this was our flying out day of our hol, we had an evening flight home and wanted to make the most of it. We tried our hand at a day by the lake in Switzerland but seeing those crazy prices we jumped back in the car and lived like Royalty for peanuts for the remainder of the day. Arguably the food, people and views were all far better. Thanks so much for watching, have an awesome weekend. We have terrible weather set here but we need to get our stamina and hill walking fitness up again ♥️

Thanks so much! 😊 this one was the last day, we flew out that evening! it was the best way we have ever spent our last day usually we panic and sit in a boring airport for hours! we feel we pegged the timings on this but we got the beginning of the holiday very wrong where we were up for 36 hours and felt we lost a day to being so tired but you live and learn! hopefully get the start better next time 👍❤️ have a lovely weekend

Looked a fabulous town and the prices were a hell of a lot more reasonable for better food and ale than the salad place in Switzerland. Oh and with a super view to boot. That market looks a place you could find a bargain and a decent calendar. It escalated from lucky, lucky to nookie, nookie or is that my mind in overdrive 👍
exactly Paul 👍 and this was filmed less than half an hour later. the cuisine is better, the views are arguably better, definitely so from where you get seated, and cough cough, the Italians are WAY friendlier. you cant beat a Swiss mountain but that close to Italy? you’d be a fool to stay or spend on the Swiss side. lucky, lucky and nookie nookie, im not sure where these terms come from, apparently they are both a thing. reckon both happened on this day 👍

Looked a fabulous town and the prices were a hell of a lot more reasonable for better food and ale than the salad place in Switzerland. Oh and with a super view to boot. That market looks a place you could find a bargain and a decent calendar. It escalated from lucky, lucky to nookie, nookie or is that my mind in overdrive 👍
exactly Paul 👍 and this was filmed less than half an hour later. the cuisine is better, the views are arguably better, definitely so from where you get seated, and cough cough, the Italians are WAY friendlier. you cant beat a Swiss mountain but that close to Italy? you’d be a fool to stay or spend on the Swiss side. lucky, lucky and nookie nookie, im not sure where these terms come from, apparently they are both a thing. reckon both happened on this day 👍
