2:43 when it was initially deployed, it was thought that Hubble was a $4B mistake, they fixed the mirror issue by adding multiple lenses to the telescope, similar to reading glasses allowing Hubble to adjust magnification making it better than the initial design.
    Or something like that 🤔

Great review covering basically everything that can be said about this set which is fantastic for those who missed the build streams yet may express interest in buying building it. Really appreciated that shot of all the NASA sets together. First review I've seen comparing all three, and yes they all look amazing together. Really want to get this one, however I'll hold until I can get the Lunar Lander as it's more than likely to retire soon. Looking forward to more great reviews, and as a side note don't let the numbers discourage you, just please keep doing what you enjoy.

Finally someone who did their homework on this set. Excellent review! This thing is my favorite of all next to my Saturn V. Hoping to get an Apollo Command Module, Lunar Rover, Perseverance/ Curiosity, and maybe Voyager 1 sets in the future.

This set looks amazing. And yes: The hubble telescope really reminds me of a lightsaber. :-)

Thanks Mike. Great review. A few things. It's "CanadArm". And I'm very proud as it was developed not far from where I am writing this now. Also, I did the scaling and based on the size of the three SSMEs (Space Shuttle Main Engine) that have the same size nozzle as the F-1 engines on the Saturn V, the Saturn V model and this are the same scale. Lego, nicely done. You are the FIRST to mention that the part under Hubble is the access bay to change out the mirror -- good research. My one nitpick is the side of the cockpit shaping is a little off, and the "Discovery" name should be level. But this will not stop me from getting it.
Lastly, as I watched your review (see you at Bricks and Coffee Sunday) I wonder how long it will take for one of us AFOLs to make a MOC of this as the Drax Shuttle from "Moonraker"?

Are you sure about the scaling? The shuttle and the Saturn V are definitely not the same scale. The astronaut microfigs in the Saturn V are scaled to the rocket, they are way too small for the shuttle. The shuttle model in scale with the IDEAS Saturn V would reach maybe the third of the height of the rocket.

@@TheCoolFactor Yes you are right Mike. I re-measured and they are close but not exact. Thanks for the correction and see you Sunday. :)
