Reggae Strong-Interview with Toots, Pt 1

This interview (and concert) with the legendary Toots Hibbert (of Toots and the Maytals), was one of the first things we shot for Reggae Strong, in 1985.
Although we usually conducted our interviews with the interviewer off-camera, this was one of the few instances where we had a guest interviewer, in this case, radio personalty, Ken Williams, at his historic venue, Club Negril, in downtown Manhattan.
In this segment of the interview, Toots discusses the origin of the word "reggae", which he is credited for coining, and also talks about his musical roots and the heavy influence gospel has had on his life.
