This still blows my mind after all this time how quickly these two were able to put this entire song together and learn the Russian so well. They are just so incredibly talented.
@Ku Nilsen honestly it wasn't that bad, very heavy accent for sure, but everything is understandable. The thing that makes me laugh every time is how much they struggle with the difference between "devushka" and "devochka". But overall they did an amazing job since Russian is one of the hardest languages in terms of both grammar and pronunciation
@@jzinchy Thank you for telling me! I am always so curious when it comes to people's accents and pronunciations when it comes to singing or talking in languages they don't speak and understand. And it's only so much I will be able to gather from locals' reactions lol
The birthday song in "Norway language" had me in tears. I love you, TVNorge. You always give us the best stuff. The english transcript is also appreciated.
@@RedBloodCat1 You can imagine my face when I saw the information about this journalist and in my head there was only: "not only sushi, pizza". I couldn't believe my eyes!!!

I think I just saw Vegård's pissed look when he was asking about the email being received or not. Love the part where Bård was checking his curls out, and Vegård teary-eyed at the wedding ...priceless reaction. Go Ylvis!!!
I absolutely loved Swahiliwood and Big in Kyrgyzstan. Too bad they can't really do that type of thing anymore because they've gotten so famous. The possibilities would have been endless - Lost in Osaka, or maybe Dariwood (Dariwood is the language of Afghanistan).
I love it when Vegard asks, "So it's not a big place?" Ilya: "No, no, no." And the way Bård imitates, laughing, "No, no, no!" Great stuff. Fun to see scenes not shown before in the 7 "Big in Kyrgyzstan" episodes.

You have to understand my confusion, as a Brazilian dude watching a Norwegian show taking place in Kyrgyzstan andsubtitled in English, when Brazilian worldwide sucess "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" plays in the middle of the wedding at 35:30...
I was in Kyrgyzstan last summer. It was a really cool experience and I would be happy to go back. What I liked the best were the nature and the friendly people. I think that Kyrgyz and Tadjiks are the only people who smile in Central Asia (sorry for potentially starting 3rd world war).
@@Martina-Kosicanka Belarus is high on my list, glad that you liked it. I'm sure that you would find some similarities between the 2 countries but also a lot of differences. Kyrgyzstan is an awesome location for people who like trekking, mountains and those type of things. @@Felixxxxxxxxx Exactly. I did my research beforehand and warned my boyfriend not to expect "travelling back in time", but he can´t help himself and ended up being really surprised how well-developed and modern Belarusian cities are. But despite it, there was plenty of room for observing how is their approach different to various things. For me it was fascinating. I learnt some words before the stay (and I like watching Russian movies and listening to their music), but unless I am "forced" by job to learn a language (EN, DE) I only end up picking some phrases like in Norwegian (because of Ylvis) or Russian. I basically relied on common Slavic roots of Russian and my mother tongue (Slovak)

Do you have any clue what Ilya actually meant with that "Timemachine it's not so easy, like we usually think about car" ? I ask you, because with the knowledge of russian-to-english translation mistakes, you can find some sence within it.
kaphibarka I can explain it, dude. Time machine he uses for Moskvich car (that yellow car they were been driving) Cuz that car is so old. back in 50's to 80's it was all over the Soviet Union's most popular and fastest. Now it's used just like classic car.
Something along the lines. Probably more like ''this is like being in a time machine, it's not as easy to drive one of these as you would a modern car''
I am Russian and I can't say when and how I first heard this song (because I have no idea). But I did it before I heard about Ylvis. When they were singing it in the studio i thought "hmmmmm but it's not their song....it's an old one...no?" And then i searched it in google and was kinda surprised😅

Truly some words of deep meaning. He's living in a different plane of existence
Ilya is like this character some amazing writer came up with while tripping on acid in Moscow, and is portrayed by a newcomer of the year :D
Great comment, so true!
"is it hurting?" "ohh that's passion, okay." hahaha
ahhhh glad to know vegard is the type of guy who cries at weddings..HOW SWEET IS THAT?!
Yes, but he only cried because he wanted to marry the woman himself :-(
this episode made me full happy
