It's a well thought out plan to collect private data and sell it for targeted advertising as well as do surveillance. Digi yatra is a non govt entity joined owned by Adani Airports 74% and Airports Authority of India (26%).
The Digi Yatra project is an initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MCA), but it’s noteworthy that the Ministry does not provide any budgetary support for its implementation. Instead, the expenditure is borne by Airport Operators, according to the Ministry’s press release in February 2023. The DYF website informs that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) controls only 26% shares of the entity, and the rest of the shareholders-Cochin International Airport, Bangalore International Airport, Hyderabad International Airport, Mumbai International Airport, and Delhi International Airport, hold 14.8% of the shares each.
What I feel's Narendra Modi Sarkar's a big failure in many things. To hide that they're creating so many hype around with some show off strategies. Sometimes they're in a rush to prove the world they're ahead of time this Govt's actually compromising Citizen's privacy and much more. Aadhaar and EVMs are another examples. Even some banks are advising to delink Aadhaar from bank accounts and most of the advanced foreign countries dropped EVMs . But here in India since they work hard, even from the school level from rewriting textbooks to gradually deleting fundamental rights and substituting religious sentiments we can't expect our people to know the gravity of this issue.
