Hey Luke, these sounds all sound great and most importantly not muddy? Could you do a vid on gain staging with the P6? Will be buying this pack to practice against :)
It’s funny because the 6 is criticized so much by people in comparison to the 10 but I find it has a sound that I love. Seems the love of the 10/5 is because it sounds raw and alive like the old records of 70’s and 80’s. And I agree it has an amazing sound and larger palette of aliveness. But I also feel the 6 gets this smooth beautiful top end that I haven’t heard the 5/10 get every once in awhile. It has a modern sheen I find appealing that I don’t hear in other synths, digital or analog. However it makes me wonder if I’m the only one hearing it. Seems to me that sound is special and something the 5/10 can’t get. But then I’ll hear other patches that definetly feel less alive then the 5/10 so., anyway, excellent patches sir. Any thoughts on that?
The P5 sounds full but also a little muddy sometimes to me. P6 can sound thinner sometimes, but also clearer and tighter. Guess you can't have it all, lol! Either one still sounds better than a lot of other stuff I've played tho.
Mmm these are really meaty tones, I don't know if it's because of the vintage knob. I see that a vintage knob is also included in the new Take 5, which looks super appealing. How does the vintage knob work exactly? Is it like a time machine?
@@lukeneptune3820 cool. I love your covers btw so staying tuned for those. thanks for the content! EDIT: covers and originals like the funky vocoder one with the lyrics about someone groovin or movin
Hi, great work as always. I purchased vol3 and I tries to play along with a Piano and it's often not tuned the same. I undertand some patches are detuned on purpose but is it normal to have so many differences with many patches ? It makes impossible to have P6 + Piano with many patches :( Any idea ? Cheers.
Hi Alexa. If you have issues with tuning when playing along with another polyphonic instrument there’s two things to check. 1) Check the tuning of oscillator 2. If it’s detuned to a 4th or 5th (for example) it can create clashes with polyphonic instruments that aren’t also tuned that way. 2) Try easing off the slop/vintage knob. On some patches I really push it as far as it can go to get the oscillators nice and loose but again, when played alongside another polyphonic instrument it may be a bit too much so just dial it back a bit.
@@stergiost.6246 No i don't think so. It's hardly doing anything and is mainly there just to catch the peaks. My Silver Bullet pre amp and Apogee Symphony MK2 add a tiny bit of low end on the way in but it's so tiny that it's hardly worth mentioning.
Nothing sounds more organic than a prophet ugh I’m in love

Have you ever thought of doing a dedicated funk sound set? Brass stabs, bass sounds effects, etc?
I've already done one :D ruclips.net/video/3TJmW0NTFYI/видео.html

Question for you…Vintage Mode needs to be switched on manually, right? Or do these patches enable Vintage Mode just by being loaded?
I like the variety

The vintage knob kind of loosens things up a bit and adds some per voice variation in tone/timbre. IMO it's an improvement of a basic detune knob.

Amazing!! Class as always 🤘
Thank you :)
Beautiful patches. One question, is it possible, to select the bank with the versions 1 and 2 like with this one?
Nice work (as always)!
Incredible as always! Any patches coming for the sequential Take Five?
Yeah Take 5 patches will be coming at some point in the future :)
Hey Luke, are those sets compatible with the P10? If not can you let me know those that are?

Great sounds! Are you going to make a soundset for the Take 5?
Yes 👍 Hope to get a soundset out before the end of the year
hello.Have you applied any effects or any kind of mastering?
No effects and just a limiter on the master bus to catch peaks, level out and add a bit of volume.
@@lukeneptune3820 thanks. Does this limiter adds any low end or low mids?

How many user made presets can the Prophet 6 hold?
500 :)
