Offshore Automatic Weather Stations

The Bureau of Meteorology operates a network of offshore, automatic weather stations in the Great Barrier Reef, that form part of an integrated observing network, used for providing timely weather warnings and forecasts for Queensland communities, especially in tropical cyclone events.
