Heres the thing, what we have is not the "dedicted servers" people wished for back in the day. When people used to talk DEDICATED SERVERS people were describing what battlefield and other PC FPS games had back in the day were COMMUNITY SERVERS run by clans and groups. So instead of relying on activision/DICE official crappy servers that moght not be close to your location, people could host their pwn servers closer to peoples relative location. This fostered a healthier and longer running community especially in parts of the world where the infrastructure from the publisher might've been limited or the underlying infrastructure of the country might've been cost inflexible to set up ie power grid fluctuations and etc makes running servers and keeping backups more cost intensive to maintain.
P2P is arguably worse in more ways because you can still run into the same issues with deidcated servers but what do you do if the host is intentionalyl netlimiting or lag switching? Pm top of all that the host gets priority in the system so their inputs are voing to be reas faster in the respective match.
I definitely hope Microsoft takes control over this part of Activision. The SBMM doesnt sound like its going anywhere based on the information released this week. But they need to prioritize the connection first and certainly do a better job maintaining its stability.
@@SgtSitrep it's iffy. Microsoft is a gargantuan company that can't keep track of its own projects. The main money maker for Microsoft is there cloud services for businesses/industries and yet even they're fucking that up. If they can't manage the sort of their business worth potentially trillions of dollars what makes anyone think they'll succeed managing smaller "pet" projects like Xbox and gaming companies worth substantially less.
It's their updates. When I start on a new season of WARZONE/MW3. There are no issues and the game runs smoothly. But everytime when Activision updates the game. it causes me to get hit with severe latency lag that reaches between 300-600 even more. Their servers are pure outdated trash. They have the money to get new servers but decides to not do anything about it. If Activision does not listen to our pleas to fix their servers. Then maybe a mass player strike will force them to listen
This definitely needs to become their priority. Otherwise the player base will continue to fall off.
Its likely the host servers they rent from other providers or the routing is just broken.

Same. There's way too many bugs this late in the game's life cycle.

Unfortunately it's up to Activision to update their servers. Hopefully it will get fixed soon
