I have always thought that your voice editing has been top notch. Many editors end up clipping and distorting the voice just enough to make it odd, and awkward. Not you though, I've felt your timing of cuts, snippets and merges has always made me feel it's genuinely James speaking those phrases, even though I know he's never uttered those words in that sequence. It makes me go Hooray! every time.
Interesting, yes. Please keep doing this once in a while when there's something you feel particularly good or bad about. Reminds us of the tedious process you go through to bring us this stuff. Would be some much easier for you to choose the voice clone path... And please don't stop. I do believe that by standing on the shoulder of a giant you have surpassed Hames himself. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you have a somewhat under-crossfaded day.
"some much"? I'm happy enough with my comment overall that I won't soil it with an "edited" tag, just know that I'm aware of it. Painfully aware. edit:edit:turned nasty, reverted.
People will nitpick and conspiracy theory anything! Love your content and do actually laugh out loud a lot. I think Hoffmanns innate pomposity makes him a great source for remixing.
Having watched Dr. Geoff Lindsey, I truly symphatise with your troubles. English and languages in general have such a complex combination of voices and pauses and some sort of "fake voices" that you don't register listening to normal speech until you cut them out or show a comparison to how different it would sound if you removed/added a glottal stop or something else. Even better, the timbre and pitch difference alone can make it sound off, breaths and whatnot. Just editing music together from takes that are supposed to belong in the spot is difficult enough to do smoothly (although thanks DAWs that do some of the work automatically nowadays like crossfades etc), so I cna only imagine how it is to piece together things that shouldn't be together in spoken language. Looking at this reminds me of how I'm trying to guess and match different tracks on the timeline to sync them up when they haven't been recorded locked to the same thing inside the project. Knowing that they have some life = flow to them that's not quantized machine like execution, and how there's purposely being ahead or behind the exact time and trying to guess how it would naturally play out in which spots to find the correct combination. It's a zooming and testing nightmare.
I love that you make all of the manually and has no ai involved... Tho a little cheating could make your life easier, knowing you don't cheat makes this a lot more entertaining!
Ai user! Voicer cloner! Art hate man! Bad Doer! Skub using scum-bum! Oh wait? It was just just a minor slip up in an otherwise perfectly ethical hand stitched artisanal banger? Well, boy do I --sound silly-- [ahem] *_feel_* silly now. *_`8P_*
Instructions unclear, my coffee extracted cross-faded.
That's how blends are made - no single origin for you!
I'd wish you an extremely cross and faded day
BUT THAT'S MY DAY AND I'M NOT SHARING IT NO HOW!
lol hearing a voice other than a goofy Hoff edit threw my brain off for a second
I really adore the idea
Daddy Hoffmann would be proud
I think he would probably wonder what I'm doing with my life
@@hoffmanncometh but still wish you a very nice day.

An extremely thorough reply! Many thanks

This is the best video to set the stage as I blow bubbles from my exit chute, after having enjoyed some octopus.
Hooray!
