Both teams won. Buf showed they played better when Diggs isn't the feature. Houston has a stud QB and WR2 already. Both will be better for it. A 2nd round pick for an aging wr is nice af tho
I completely disagree that they are better without him. With diggs the bills forced their opponents to double team him which led to the second half of the season Kalil Shakir break out. Without diggs Shakir will not get open as much, Kincaid won't get open as much. This can all be fixed through the draft but that still carries it's own risk
you don't watch film, and possibly didn't watch the bills last year. They didn't double diggs ever because they knew he wasn't a threat. That makes his downturn in production even more concerning
@@SweepSwapInUrWallsI was just coming to say the same. It’s easy for everyone to assume that Diggs drew coverage. He didn’t. Teams seemed to sense that Diggs gave up on his team because they didn’t bother rolling any extra coverage his way. The Bills were definitely better without utilizing him. In fact, Diggs saw the field less and less as the season went on. That doesn’t sound like a team that felt better off with Diggs out there. The Bills paid money to get rid of him.
I don’t know where people get this take. In the last 8 games of the season they averaged over 30 passes per game. Their season average for passing attempts was 34. That 30 average also includes 15 passes in the Dallas game because they were absolutely smoking them. Diggs numbers sucked because Diggs sucked the last half of the season. Kincaid and shakir picked up his slack.
Honestly he could put up historic numbers and I'd be happy for him but I'm glad he's out of Buffalo. He didn't want to be here anymore and his play showed that last season. Everyone wins!!
Since Houston restructured Stefons existing deal, he's now basically a 1 year rental for the Texans who can become an unrestricted free agent after the season. And i would be very surprised if the Texans brought him back next year.
i agree but it’s still a win-win, houston adds probably the top 1-2-3 punch at wr in the nfl with a qb with top 5 potential and the bills get rid of a piece of their offense that was holding them back for a really good pick
Another stat monkey not considering the system or QB in both situations. You mean a WR's numbers went down when they became a run first team?! I'm shocked.....🙄 He's acting like Cook plays WR. Diggs is still really good and is going to the The Shanahan play action system. He gets to be Brandon Ayuk to Nico Collins version of Debo Samuels. Houston now also doesn't have to rely on Tank Dell getting healthy before mid to late season.
I wasn’t surprised he was moved in the slightest. He already wouldn’t shut up about possibly leaving, and then he played like ass for the second half of the season. Neither side wanted it anymore.

Who remembers that we changed offensive coordinator during the season.
It’s about time someone said it. Diggs was like a non factor the last half of the season.
Why is my boy Demario Douglas catching a stray like this smh
Mans couldn't handle being Kinkaid's son and put himself up for adoption. Respect.
Thank you I’ve been saying this ur the first person I found that agrees with me
The bills needed to move on from diggs and the Texans needed a true #1 receiver. There doesn’t always have to be a winner or loser
Nico the the 1 bro. Diggs is secondary
Nico is for sure the 1
The whole point of this video is he's not a #1 ananymore
Well we thank you bills for the dogs trade anyway. He’s just another weapon on a stacked roster.
As a long time bills fan I agree. I think he was more of a locker room issue than the team would admit and was always in the back of Josh’s head
Both teams won. Buf showed they played better when Diggs isn't the feature. Houston has a stud QB and WR2 already. Both will be better for it. A 2nd round pick for an aging wr is nice af tho
You do realize the Bills WR room is TERRIBLE he will see more 1on1 than he ever has
Its Shakir Season Baby 😎
Demario Douglas catching strays
idc how bad he was for 8 games, he has been an elite wr for years. 8 games doesn’t suddenly make him irrelevant
He’s old, yes it does.
I guess we're not going to keep in mind that once buffalo fired their OC they went to a run heavy offense which cut into the WR production
Cook couldn’t have done what he did without Diggs getting all the attention
One thing about his production did drop but he gained many important first downs on 3rd down that no one ever brings up
The Bills also got rid of a malcontent and a “ me first player “.
I would agree with this if the bills still had gabe davis but i think theyll get a receiver in the first round
Demario Douglas: "why you say fuck me for?
Bro got a coach that switched to a run first offense during the second half of the season
Demario Douglas is hella underrated most people don't even know who he is fr
Honestly he could put up historic numbers and I'd be happy for him but I'm glad he's out of Buffalo. He didn't want to be here anymore and his play showed that last season. Everyone wins!!
Since Houston restructured Stefons existing deal, he's now basically a 1 year rental for the Texans who can become an unrestricted free agent after the season. And i would be very surprised if the Texans brought him back next year.
Like the neighborhood bike, everyone gets a ride and relize it aint worth it in the long wrong
What’s the background song I know the beat but I can’t remember the song name
You're forgetting that Diggs wasn't even on the field half the time in the second half of the season. And when he was, he was often double teamed.
The Vikings won the Diggs trade!
As a bills fan I love hearing this
i agree but it’s still a win-win, houston adds probably the top 1-2-3 punch at wr in the nfl with a qb with top 5 potential and the bills get rid of a piece of their offense that was holding them back for a really good pick
HEY DO NOT DISRESPECT DEMARIO DOUGLAS LIKE THAT
it’s almost like having a number one wr opens up the offense for everyone else 🤯
The sample size without him is small, the film is out and a off season adjustment will be made
The moment the Texans nullified his remaining yrs and made it a 1 yr deal they lost this trade.
The bills had a playbook change I think
As a patriots fan never use that example again
I also think it's a win for Buffalo but for a different reason
I can’t wait for Stefon Diggs to be on a team with C.J. Stroud
Josh Allen wasn’t top 5 until Diggs put on a bills jersey…. Let’s not forget ‼️
lmao they started running the ball at a 80/20 clip foh dude
Watch Josh Allen Throw 15-20 picks this season
As a bills fan I did not think about that
You just made my day!
I see what you’re saying, but James Cook was so good since diggs was causing defenses to focus on him and that opened up the offense
That's why Diggs was complaining, not enough looks his direction
They are just replacing robert woods for diggs. And don’t have to worry about his contract after this year if he doesn’t work
I understand it but look at the bills wr room now
Bills got fleeced lol.
Why u doggin Pop brotha? Pop is filthy, you’ll see
lol Houston 😂
The Bills lost this trade, no way my man actually believes this.
Ah-the smart and astute football fan does
Another stat monkey not considering the system or QB in both situations. You mean a WR's numbers went down when they became a run first team?! I'm shocked.....🙄
He's acting like Cook plays WR. Diggs is still really good and is going to the The Shanahan play action system. He gets to be Brandon Ayuk to Nico Collins version of Debo Samuels. Houston now also doesn't have to rely on Tank Dell getting healthy before mid to late season.
You don't get rid of diggs man!!!
The offense changed that was the only thing they didn’t won’t Allen to put the ball in harms way he started to use more check downs (RBs/TE)
I hope that Diggs can turn it around for a season or two but I have serious doubts.
New team will give him an extra boost
Texans will get 2 good years from him
(1 more Pro Bowl appearance)
Time for shakir to light it up !!!
I wasn’t surprised he was moved in the slightest. He already wouldn’t shut up about possibly leaving, and then he played like ass for the second half of the season. Neither side wanted it anymore.
Here before the bills miss the playoffs 😂
Saying diggs is washed bc of half a season of bad stats is a moronic take. There are lots of reasons for that. Shut up
real shit dude
we just got a weapon
