A drunk driver hit and killed my brother in 1997, my brother had just came back to Wisconsin after 10 years in the military, he was 32 years old. The drunk driver left the scene, basically leaving my brother to suffer and die alone. The driver had prior driving offences, and even a prior DUI. The judge gave him 6 months in jail with Huber, and then got the bracelet, so didn't sit any time in jail. The judge at sentencing said, word for word (One life is already over, why ruin two life's) I'll never forget those words. Our justice system is a freaking joke. And ALL drunk drivers need whatever comes to them. No sympathy from me.

That will look great on you in court. You killed one person for sure at this point, and you are concerned about how people are looking at you.

The US should not issue drivers licenses to people who commit DUIs. 20 year revocation would be fair.

Our laws, punishments and procedures for drunk driving need to drastically change in this country. It’s mind blowing that we pretty much just accept this happening on a daily basis. We are all so distracted by BS.
