When I first got my Werkstatt-01 I was amazed at the range of sounds it can produce.
This video is a great demonstration of this.
some very boards of canada sounds here, love it
The flight of the bumblebee @7:55 😎
Great examples of its flexibility! 🥳
Thank you :)
Awesome showcase for Werkstatt possibilities, thanks for doing these videos. Subbed :)
Am getting mine Monday 😎 am so psyched. Gonna integrated to my MPC one and Novation Bass Station II.
I gotta make some sequences with my werkstatt. Awesome demo!
Thanks, have fun!
Best sound scope of this wanted it for a few years
Thanks!
haven’t been able to get as many cool sounds from my werkstatt like you have but this is real inspiring and is making me love it more
Thanks for the comment. If you're a beginner or just don't know much about synthesis yet, I would recommend learning as much as possible about what all of the knobs and what they do. Maybe I'll do a tutorial at some point. Also, effects pedals like the Zoom MS-70CDR add tons of extra possibilities to your sounds and add production quality. I may do a tutorial on that pedal as well. Other than that, all I can say is keep messing with it, keep learning about each of the knobs, and have fun!
@@realmsofficialmusic1398 if you make a tutorial im def watching! and yea im new to analog synths. i traded a beat MPC for a werkstatt, and although i have synths like OP-1, OP-Z i still love gravitating towards the werkstatts analog sound. Its easy to make something really wild on the moog for me but so hard to get something fatty, but ofc i have plugins on my daw to help.
@@wilmeralexander2098 Sounds like i have tutorial to make 😉. I'm actually uploading another Werkstatt video in a couple of hours. It's a compilation of sounds similar to the last video, but this time using effects more heavily... But in honor of your request, my very next video after that will be a full on tutorial.

@@realmsofficialmusic1398 Hi, what happened to this tutorial video? I had it bookmarked and just saw it's unavailable
Really enjoyed this look at the sounds the werkstatt can make, thanks! Subscribed.
I'm sure the Werkstatt can do a whole lot more when taking advantage of the CV expander, I just haven't gotten around to exploring that side of it yet. Definitely planning on a future video diving into this.. Thanks for subscribing, see you in the next one!
Watched this video to find out if the Moog Werkstatt is worth to buy. Found almost my exact setup: I got the Keystep, I got the MS70-CDR Multieffect, I got a Boss loop station and I got that super cool Casio calculator watch... what else can I do than buying that synth 😁
Nice, yeah its a good setup. The Werkstatt is a nice addition for sure..
so simple so great
It is pretty amazing what you can get out of it. This is on my radar for sure. Great programming on your end too
Perfect in a remake of Strange things and able to do much more ! This little synth really have poser and possibilities to dig... thanks for your explorations into it 🤟🏻
percise. nice.
Some of those sounds remind me of the movie Logan's Run :)
Haven't seen that one, ill have to check it out ;)
Beautiful sounds!
Thank you!
Damn that one had stamina!
👌
thank *YOU*
Sounds great and would make a great expander for my Grandmother to get an extra oscillator, LFO and envelope.
Thanks and yes the Werkstatt-01 is great with other synths. I tried it with my Microbrute and got some really wild patches!
Gotta have bigger knobs , I do that all the time 🤓
I have been tempted to buy one of these, I think this has sealed it. I’ve got a Strymon Nightsky to run it through.
I've been eyeing the strymon night sky for a while now. Expensive... but it looks really cool.
As far as the Werkstatt I would definitely recommend checking it out. If you have an arturia keystep they go well together.. you should also tune the Werkstatt, all you need is a screwdriver and there's videos on youtube on how to do it.
Thanks for watching!
Fun stuff :)
I just bought one through Sweetwater :D $40 off and special financing for 48 months @$4 a month lol.
Only way I could justify buying it since I'm still paying off my modular build :P
Apparently it's really easy to mod the LFO to act as a second VCO!
Wow
I use the Keystep to control mine too,but I am interested in knowing if there are any other MIDI controllers that would work with it?
I have both the Werkstatt-01 w CV Expander and the Keystep. But how exactly do you run these into or with the Effects Pedal &/or Effects Unit? Are these connections before going to the audio interface (I have Steinberg UR22C) or after the interface? I have not seen how the connections are done to add reverb or delay in any of the videos so would be helpful for super-new people like me barely getting into it. Thanks.
I'll try to do a "how to" for cable connections in a future video, ive taken a little break from youtube but I'm coming back soon. Thanks for the comment!
Sorry for the delay.

@@realmsofficialmusic1398 I just watched the new video and now I know exactly what I need...plus I can put off buying a mixer until I increase my synth count (looking at the Moog Sound Studio (M32 + DFAM) and incorporate my Arturia Keystep. Your explanation was exactly what I envisioned for a Basic Basic Beginner's video. Thanks!
Patch sheets?😎💯
Nice sounds! I'll have mine next week.
I'm assuming you've since calibrated the poor thing; that tuning...ouch!
Yes I have. Lol. I was relatively new to synths when I uploaded that video. Congrats on your Werkstatt-01. I hope you have a lot of fun and create some interesting stuff with it!
Came for the Synth - Stayed for the farts.
Superb sound design and musicality! Also, only now I noticed the bigger knobs. What are they!?
Thanks a lot! The custom knobs from Amazon are made by Labmetric if I remember correctly. Link in the description!
@@realmsofficialmusic1398 awesome! Thanks for replying. So you think the Werkstatt is a must buy? Works really well with Arturia’s midi-CV conversion? Many thanks!
@@EnricoDePaoli In my opinion, it is a must buy.. The price is nice, its incredibly easy to learn, and it's super easy to come up sounds very quickly. It definitely needs effects, at least reverb, but I think that goes for most synths.
Using the Keystep with the Werkstatt-01 is incredibly fun! If you do buy this synth, be sure to tune it. Having a keystep makes it really easy. Theres a couple videos on youtube on how to do it.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@realmsofficialmusic1398 thanks for the kind reply! I don’t have a keystep but I do have a beatstep and a microbrute. Both will do CV...
💯
You describe the Arturia Keystep as "Midi Controller" but I thought the Werkstatt did not have midi interface, only CV/gate. How did you interface the two? Thanks
Keystep has CV out on the back panel
The Keystep comes with a few patch cables. Connect the "Pitch" CV Output on the Keystep to the "VCO EXP FM IN" on the Werkstatt CV expander. Also, connect the "Gate" CV Output on the keystep to the "GATE IN" on the Werkstatt CV expander. It should work perfectly after that. Hope this helps... let me know if you are still having trouble!
I am still waiting to assamble my Werkstatt. Probably i have to many synths :)
I know I have to many 😆
Is it a midi to cv converter you've got that interfaces between the keyboard and Moog?
Nope.. no need for any converter..
Hope this helps... let me know if you are still having trouble!
i grew dissapointed upon the realization this wasnt all just fart noises. lol
🤣
Hey can I still connect the Keystep if I don't have the CV expander?
I dont think so...
can you tell how did you connect keystep to moog? for me, after plugging in, only the last selected tone on werkstatt works on each key - I only play one note. What could it be? :-(
post the patches please yoooooo
I need those knobs! What are they?
Never mind i watched more of the video lol
Lol Thanks for the comment.. I love the knobs. Just make sure you get two packs. As stated in the video the big silver one came off an old radio but any knob with approximately 6mm inner diameter should slide right on.
Best werkstatt video I've seen.
MP MI Thank you so much for the nice comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
So the knobs come off easily ? Anything we should be aware of if we try to swap them out ? Where did you get the small knobs ?
How did you connect the Arturia to the Moog?
The Keystep comes with a few patch cables. Connect the "Pitch" CV Output on the Keystep to the "VCO EXP FM IN" on the Werkstatt CV expander. Also, connect the "Gate" CV Output on the keystep to the "GATE IN" on the Werkstatt CV expander. It should work perfectly after that. Hope this helps... let me know if you are still having trouble!
@@realmsofficialmusic1398 Excellent. Thanks x100!
@@malcolmbliss777 Any time!
@Kevin Patz I didn't know that! Thanks!
I just got an analoguegasm
Is this synth polyphonic...?
The Werkstatt-01 is actually monophonic. Thanks for checking out my channel!
@@realmsofficialmusic1398 thanks for your reply!
😂 werkfart
those bubbling fart sounds though. hahahah
besides those digestive noises i really enjoyed this video with all the creative sounds you got out of the werkstat. Gave me some great ideas. I wish i could see the knob positions. ]
Do you have any recommendations for running audio thru the filter? Iv tried and it sounds so noisy and not so great. Nothing like i thought it would be.
I'll do better with camera angles in future videos, thanks for the comment!
That seems more a bad case of diarrea than a fart (I love werkstatt)
🤣🤣🤣
