What is so amazing is that things in your town are hundreds of years old. It is fascinating the narrow streets and the short doorways throughout England. Thanks!
It’s a little place, we have to fit a lot in 😉, thanks for watching #staysafe
What a beautiful little town! I love visiting the UK and hope to get back there one day. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you 🙏
Hey Kirsten. Thank you so much for participating! Wow...your area is so incredibly beautiful. Your shop looks really nice. You have such pretty things. The church is exqusite 😍 I think you're right...I feel like I've heard many more birds singing lately. This was great...not only did I get to see a new town - but a new country as well. 😍
Thanks for planning the whole collaboration, can’t wait to watch the others 😊
Hi Kirsten and thanks for the lovely memories of Ottery St Mary.
I'm now from Germany, but I was born in Ottery 77 Years ago. My Grandparents had a farm on East Hill , where I spent a lot of my childhood with the Cobbledick family. My Uncle Ivor and Auntie Anette lived in Spring Gardens and I believe I still have cousins in Ottery, although I no longer have any contacts unfortunately.
I emigrated to Germany in 1972 after 10 years service in the Devon & Dorset Regiment. My Grandparents are buried in the Ottery church. I have not been back to Ottery for some 10 or so years, but maybe I will be able to visit in the near future. All the very best for you, your shop and Ottery!
David Bowden, Baden-Baden, Germany
I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I have family in Germany, mainly in the north near Hamburg
Thank you. My Grandmother came from Ottery and my Grandfather from Tipton St John (both born in the late 1890's). I've never been to either and have loved seeing this.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it
What a nice little town and the church is beautiful. It looks like something you would see in a movie. Your shop is so cute.🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕Thank you for the tour.

You would never know how much I enjoyed this. We were supposed to leave this past Sunday from the US for 5 days in London and area then a 8 day cruise from South Hampton. My dream vacation for my birthday we planned for 2 years. Your video made me feel like I Had a tour of a beautiful English village. While eating lunch from my desk while at work on a stressful day. Thank you
I doubt it made up for missing your holiday at all but I’m glad it helped your stressful day. Thank you 🙏 #staysafe
Much more pretty than my home town. Thanks for sharing.
I tried to pick the prettier bits 😀. Thanks for watching Peter #staysafe

Great video Kirsten, I just showed it to my Mum in London. Best wishes from Dave and Maya who live in Brook Street (i bought the Mods poster that was out the front).
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
When the tar barrels burn on 5th November, it is an exciting alternative to a normal fireworks display
It is true!
You live in a very quaint and beautiful town. I can imagine myself quite at home there, although I live in the United States. I have always been fascinated by England and hope to one day visit. I hope you all get back to living the new normal life very soon! I look forward to your videos and they have kept me company during this long and lonely shutdown. Thank you!
I think we are all longing for more freedom, it can feel quite lonely at times! Thank you for watching #staysafe
That was lovely 😊
Thank you 🙏
Loved the walk through, any chance we can get another now we are out of lockdown, please.
I can do another walk around - I might wait until it’s a bit warmer 😊
I recall going to OSM many years ago well before I imagine you had your shop. Are you a Devon born girl? Lovely County! TFS.
Devon is beautiful- I moved down here 16 years ago
My local town centre is still referred to by all as The Village and photos as late as the 1950s show lots of small shops leading up to the Parish Church. Now only the church remains, the rest has been replaced by Bargain chain stores, cake shops and charity shops. And, of course, we have a huge ASDA hypermarket. From the 1940s onwards the area became a "dormitory" for Liverpool's overspill.
But I can't complain, my parents moved here from the city back in the 1930s.
Towns are ever evolving! Thanks for watching #staysafe
