I just realised something. Garmadon was bitten by the Great Devourer as a child. Lloyd is born shortly before his banishment to the Underworld, where the venom has fully consumed him. So that means it took around a thousand years for the venom to take control of him. That’s some slow venom.
I can tell that prior to season 11, the ninjago writers didnt have in mind wu and garmadon being over a thousand years old. Thats why 40 years in the past they look young. Before season 11 they were probably meant to be like 70
My theory is that the first spinjitzu master and his descendants can expel one of their sides (oni and dragon) Garmadon even with his aging STILL looks younger than Wu even though he's older. Garmadon embraced hsi oni side while the the others shunned it. which would exlain why the first spinjitzu master didn't live all that long and Wu's aging faster than his older brother
The part about the first spinjiztu master not living wrong I would say is incorrect as you’re forgetting the first spinjitzu master fought the overlord for thousands maybe even hundreds of thousands of years after defeating him we don’t know how many years went by between him defeating the overlord and him passing away .
@@megalodon3655 With all due respect. we actually DON'T have a confirmed timeline for when he started fighting the Overlord AT ALL. My theory STILL stands as the fsm could have been fighting him for for a few years-he would have been fighting him for centuries. the age of the fsm isn't confirmed nor is the age or origin of the Overlord. So again MY THEORY STILL STANDS. I can remember the entire show other than the unimportant parts.
I always assumed that Wu & Garmadon functioned on a similar situation as Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, where they're however old the plot needs them to be for a given episode
Tommy Andreason said something along these lines too, either on Twitter or in an interview, I don’t remember. But the evidence you provide does point to it pretty well, so this is a good theory!
Great video! Not sure if you know this but Wu and Garmadon being linked in some way and that having a result on their age is actually a possible explanation that was given by Tommy Andreasen along with another, in regards to their ages. If anyone is interested the info can be found in the trivia section of Wu and Garmadon's wiki pages.
I think that they way they were shown in battle between brothers is a mistake ninjago wasn’t meant to last for more than two seasons and battle between brothers released in 2011-2012 and season eight released in 2018 that’s a six year gap maybe when Wu and garmadon opened the time portal during the unaltered fight against the time twins it made them age faster which lead to them looking like old men I think the way they look in battle between brothers isn’t actually how they should look if Wu and garmadon are around sixty to seventy in human years they they should be middle aged men in battle between brothers. Also if battle between brothers happened decades before Lloyd first appeared then that means that Lloyd aged slowly thanks to his oni blood even though he is like 1/4 oni so while he looks like child he could actually be around 20. Which would be so funny. Or maybe Wu garmadon just grow facial hair from teen age.
I've always had a similar idea but instead of it being them in the same realm, it was the location/existence of the golden weapons, but this theory has less holes lol
Good theory. Honestly making Wu and Garmadon 1000+ years creates questions for a lot of things, like why did it took so much time for the venom of the Devourer? or why did Garmadon became Chen's apprentice? Chen was a normal human so probably Garmadon wwith 800+ years had more life experience than Chen ever had
This is actually a great theory because Wu clearly becomes much stronger after Garmadon returns. He defeated all the (weakened) ninja in s11 and fought the overlord in s16. He could not have done that in season one two five six and seven
Here is an other year inconsistent and this one is Over harumi and And Lloyd having so much years apart so remember the flashback about harumi parents dead by the great devour we see clearly harumi be a child I would say a child like Lloyd (before the tea that maked him grown up) Lloyd was still a child too but then this time tea story with the dinosaur happend and we see that Lloyd from 8 or 9 years he become a adolescent of 15 years but all this happend like one month after the snake attack so harumi was still like nine and then u have normal évolution normal aging too after that son of garmadon harumi seem to be a adolescent but knowing Llloyd was like 15 when she was nine and we now count normal aging it said that in son of garmadon harumi is in the 15 16 years so that mean she grew up normally that mean that Lloyd was this age already 5 6years before she got this age make they realetionship wierd knowing they need to be like 5 in worst case 6 years appart
Me personally, I always assumed it was an aging system similar to the one for gems in Steven Universe, i.e., outward appearance is more indicative of mental age rather than actual physical age. That's why, when Garmadon is banished, Wu begins to age so quickly -- his mental state becomes weary, wizened. Would also explain Garmadon's age too!
Now time to solve Harumi's age inconsistencies cuz she's basically Lloyds age throughout cuz she was his age during great devourer but also his age in SOG most likely after he used aging tea
Saying that Wu is stronger with garmadon makes sense, since the same thing happened to lloyd in season 9, he was weak till the others came back from the dragon and oni realm
i think it just has to do with their designs like the ninjas age but they still dont look any older and thats just because of their designs not that they dont age
My whole logic is that any time the lore doesn't perfectly match up between seasons before 2017 and after 2017 I just blame Hands of Time. It's much easier for my sanity that way. Before 2017 I regard the Realm of Ninjago as only a couple hundred years old, and after I regard it as thousands. Really cool theory though, I'm curious to see how Dragons Rising might affect it.

Great comment ahahaahha, but I think it was all part of the Overlord's plans
Oni genes maybe
I mean like he’s basically the son of a god so it kinda makes sense and they did always say it slowly happened
My guess is for a normal person it would have corrupted them faster but because wu and gramdon age slower it took more time to corrupt him
I can tell that prior to season 11, the ninjago writers didnt have in mind wu and garmadon being over a thousand years old. Thats why 40 years in the past they look young. Before season 11 they were probably meant to be like 70

Well actually Tommy Andreason said something along the lines that the FSM choose to die on his own volition
I always assumed that Wu & Garmadon functioned on a similar situation as Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, where they're however old the plot needs them to be for a given episode
Just gotta say I absolutely love this theory and it definitely is gonna be my head canon from now on!

I think the fact that Ray and Maya didn't age over 40 years (Maya even looks younger in the present) is also worth looking into
The thumbnail picture is the definition of ‘this does not compute’ 😂

Wu aged worse than Kenobi

OOOOOOOOOOH I like this idea a lot, and it makes a good enough sense. I never thought about their ages like that.
I was thinking the same!
Master Wu: this new book
Now time to solve Harumi's age inconsistencies cuz she's basically Lloyds age throughout cuz she was his age during great devourer but also his age in SOG most likely after he used aging tea
A few years passed beetween season 1 and 8 so she probably aged normally
0:00 Game theory reference?🤣
There is a very strong possibility! 😅
@@MastersofBrickjitzu But that’s just a theory
acctualy blew my mind

This theory is great! Awesome and underrated channel
Saying that Wu is stronger with garmadon makes sense, since the same thing happened to lloyd in season 9, he was weak till the others came back from the dragon and oni realm
Wouldn’t Lloyd’s aging also be slower than any other human? So maybe Lloyd just appears younger but was actually born way earlier?
I really like this theory
Im pretty sure judging by his robe, in the Dragons Rising flashback, it was sometime before the merge but after crystalized
Um, yeah.. In that perspective the roma of 1000yo Garmadon and ~30yo Misako looks kinda…. weird?
I just wanna know if he's alive
Wu grows a full ahh beard and goes from looking 20 to 80 in a span of 40 years
Correction in a span of 30 years as the last 10 yearsish is when ninjago seasons 1-5 and the day of the departed happened.
i think it just has to do with their designs like the ninjas age but they still dont look any older and thats just because of their designs not that they dont age
Fantastic
There is a wierd theory that Wu is Lloyds father
No he isn't
Proven time to time again
@@Cataclysm999 I know he isn't
Aspheera is as just as old as Wu and Garmadon.
Neat pitch, However my theory is that Wu isn't actually old but albino and he refuses to shave unlike garmadon
How does Wu age up suddenly at the end of hunted?
One scene he's a teenager, the next he's back to an old man
He was hit by the reversal blade so when the reverse effect wears off he starts rapidly aging from teen to adult to his actual age
@@y.ajmal1304 I know, but he grew much faster than the rest of the season
@@LeagueofJay137 My guess is coz he got his memories back. He grew significantly faster after getting all his memories than before
I'd just say stress
This does not explain how Crux aged 40 years in 15
He didn't, he was already balding when he kidnapped Ray and Maya
Estão dizendo que o tal fantasma dourado é criação da mente do mestre Wu 😨!?
My whole logic is that any time the lore doesn't perfectly match up between seasons before 2017 and after 2017 I just blame Hands of Time. It's much easier for my sanity that way. Before 2017 I regard the Realm of Ninjago as only a couple hundred years old, and after I regard it as thousands.

This question was already explained. Wu being seperated from Garmadon and the 4 GWs made him age faster
Im trying to get the 150th like
