I've heard "great" vocalists in Kpop and I just don't feel anything, because they just sing as an automatic job and not with their heart. This is the kind of blackpink we blinks want to see. And i am sure that this is what blackpink wants to show more to their fans. That they are more than just idols. It just saddens me sometimes that when I think about it, blackpink really trained for years and yet they can’t even fully showcase what they have to offer. They are so damn talented that i just cannot fathom why the company hesitates to put out more music as that is what blackpink loves to do. Dont get me wrong. Many kpop stans are obsessed with the vocal ability of their idols. But truth be told, most people want to hear someone who has unique voices and can make you feel the emotion of the song like Onew, Suhyun, and Rosé. Dont get me wrong these three also have phenomenal vocal ability combined with their rich tone!

This kind of music suit her vocal the best. She looks comfortable, in control, and didn't restraint her vocal chord too much. Its not like the electronic sounds she often sing in bp/her solo doesn't suit her, but in this performance, it actually emphasis what she capable of thus made her shines more. All the belting and vibrato sounds healthy, and we can actually see from her expressions how much she enjoy singing this song. Idk if there's a post production for the audio or not, but everything sounds clean without much outside noises like the wind or the waves etc. that it made it sounds like a proper studio recording session. Over all, I like the vibe of the show, the song, the performance, and she definitley fit those vibe. Hope to see more Paramore song in begin again tho :')
I think it's a live recorded video, you can actually hear the sound of the waves, 0:41. Plus, her entrance in this part 0:25 was a bit in a hurry so I don't think that it is postrecorded. But overall, this cover is really good. It suited her voice well. I agree with you, she doesn't sound strained. She sings comfortably to this song.
I think program like Begin Again has the technology to exclude other noises and keep the singer's voice. Some music program with audiences under the stage, also will edit the audience's cheering out. So I guess it's possible its live recorded.

I can't stress this enough, she needs more opportunities like this, having control and independence on her own artistry and musicianship. It was not a pleasant two years having to wait for her songs to get released and performed, we- her fans- had been so fed up with lies after lies from her company. However, we were all joyful all throughout her solo era. Happy to see her on this show too. Rosé is a wonderful artist. She is honest and being vulnerable has become her strength. She deserves to get songs..more songs in her career. So I pray for the day no one had to restrict her and hold her back. Rosé is a lot more than doing cover of another artists' songs.. In some ways, Rose is the most self-contained BP member. All she'll ever need is her old guitar (I understand this is the same guitar she came to Korea with) and a place to sing. She's going to be a major solo artist after BP is over.

This kind of music suit her vocal the best. She looks comfortable, in control, and didn't restraint her vocal chord too much. Its not like the electronic sounds she often sing in bp/her solo doesn't suit her, but in this performance, it actually emphasis what she capable of thus made her shines more. All the belting and vibrato sounds healthy, and we can actually see from her expressions how much she enjoy singing this song. Idk if there's a post production for the audio or not, but everything sounds clean without much outside noises like the wind or the waves etc. that it made it sounds like a proper studio recording session. Over all, I like the vibe of the show, the song, the performance, and she definitley fit those vibe. Hope to see more Paramore song in begin again tho :')
I think it's a live recorded video, you can actually hear the sound of the waves, 0:41. Plus, her entrance in this part 0:25 was a bit in a hurry so I don't think that it is postrecorded. But overall, this cover is really good. It suited her voice well. I agree with you, she doesn't sound strained. She sings comfortably to this song.
I think program like Begin Again has the technology to exclude other noises and keep the singer's voice. Some music program with audiences under the stage, also will edit the audience's cheering out. So I guess it's possible its live recorded.

I can't stress this enough, she needs more opportunities like this, having control and independence on her own artistry and musicianship. It was not a pleasant two years having to wait for her songs to get released and performed, we- her fans- had been so fed up with lies after lies from her company. However, we were all joyful all throughout her solo era. Happy to see her on this show too. Rosé is a wonderful artist. She is honest and being vulnerable has become her strength. In some ways, Rose is the most self-contained BP member. All she'll ever need is her old guitar (I understand this is the same guitar she came to Korea with) and a place to sing. She's going to be a major solo artist after BP is over.
