This is actually my favorite episodes of Rick and Morty of this season and it is so underrated.

So, yes, Rick is one of the ways people shorten Richard. I think people have transitioned more to using Rick or Richard instead of Dick because in modern times, nobody really wants their name to be Dick

Kinda fucked up that one of the defining aspects of Rick's character in these later seasons is him wanting to have real human connection and being consistently shat on for it
One of the best shows in the season, even the show. Whole episode is about trying to change, and you see it working, but it's Rick so he does not change. Plus the references to clout/clout chasing, etc, it's all so good.
Definitely more of a dramatic episode than a comedic one. Even so, I think the drama was handled really well and it does succeed in showing that Rick IS trying to change, which says a lot. Even Jerry is trying to change. I think the final bit of "I should have just let him p on my daughter" being a joke that makes you immediately go, "Ew, no", is the shows way of conveying that change is scary but not changing can be much worse.
If you’re curious about the Mr. Nimbus and Rick relationship, it’s a partial parody of Mr. Fantastic(Reed Richards) of the Fantastic Four comic superhero team.
Reed Richards has an inter-dimensional group of himself called the “Council of Reeds” that he rejects because they’re all jerks, and one of his nemesises is Namor, a guy wearing a Speedo, King of Atlantis, calls him Richards etc who is known for trying to seduce his girlfriend/wife.
I regard this episode as my top 5 episodes of Rick and Morty. It's just that good.
Another really good Rick/Jerry-centric episodes. I'd probably say the Rick/Jerry episodes are among my favorites in their respective seasons. They just have really good, uh, anti-chemistry I guess you could say?
Nextdoor is like facebook for neighborhoods. Mostly so people can complain to each other about each other's children or dogs. Occasionally for posts like "Did I just hear a gunshot?" followed by 12 replies saying the same before it turned out to be someone's car backfired.
Someone near me once posted a picture of the local high school asking if it was on fire. It was fog.
Honestly I don't blame Jerry at all for Pissmaster. He came looking for trouble, he provoked a father and got what he deserved. PM only had himself to blame to be frank and he just couldn't handle it. It's sad but true, he was his own worst enemy.

Yes, Rick is usually short for either Richard or Ricardo. Richard can be shortened to Rick, Rich or (for some reason) Dick
My pet theory is that Jerry is secretly naturally talented in melee combat but in most realities he never finds that out because he's usually too lacking in confidence to try. 😂 He also whooped Crohnenberg @$$ with a crowbar in Morty's first universe.
Ngl i was mad at morty when this episode first came out. I thought it was sweet that rick felt he could trust morty with that secret and felt it was a betrayal when morty just immediately goes to tell everyone else. But as time has gone on, I have come to understand why morty would be upset
Yea but he still should've maybe thought of telling Jerry before hand ☠️ cuz now Jerry gets all the bad rap again when he didn't even know, he was just defending his daughter. -
When I first watched it, I saw it as Rick, I guess “relapsing” isn’t the right word, but it’s the closest I can think of at the moment. Throughout the episode, the therapy seemed to be helping him and when Morty said, “Man, I guess the therapy worked, huh? Opening up, doing all that just to make my dad feel good” it conflicted with Rick’s self-image so much that he had to ruin it. He didn’t want Jerry to know about the note. He wanted to burden Morty with the knowledge just to make someone feel as shitty as he felt. He wasn’t doing it to lighten his own load, he was doing it to make Morty’s heavier. He didn’t like the idea of becoming a better person, so he did something he knew was bad so that he wouldn’t have to change how he viewed himself.

Rick is actually hispanic. It's understated throughout the series and Rick is short for Ricardo, which is Richard in english.
Also, this is really long explanation and kinda pointless. But felt like it anyway.

I love how Jerry sucks heven when he doesn't. Rick however was so cool in this episode, too bad Morty had to ruin it at the end, like literally the guy couldn't shut up and keep that to himself? he has went trhough so much and that's what makes him snitch on Rick? Morty sucks here. Rememmber, Morty is has live several life times in several episodes so its not like he is "just a child".
Naw it’s not that simple. Sometimes I get obsessive a so when I ban them they go to my friends and harass them on their videos and shit. Even if I don’t interact. The best way to deal with them is making them feel embarrassed so they don’t interact anymore
@@Aliciaxlife Ignoring is a skill that also takes practice. When you feel your blood boiling with a feeling of "I can't let him/her get away with it" you need to rememmber that will power is a resource that is not infinite, and think where is it usefull to expend it.
Most of the time when you embaras them they get into a victim mentality state, then they feel justified of keeping doing what they do. Or that is what I think at least. But thanks for taking the time to answering, im having a lot of fun with your rick & morty reaction videos since chapter 1, and I'm following the One Piece reactions too, hope you enjoy it a lot, you cane xpect seeing me in your comment section often :3

So Yeah the Shoes do mean that, but Also rather than Murder like Rich had thought, there are also those who do it for Friends or Family who have passed away as a memorial, and then there's the dumbfucks who just do it cuz they got new shoes and have seen the ones on wires and thought it was "Cool" All in all its an interesting thing to look into, Been a good amount of places where I've seen them myself (I always tend to be more cautious in those areas) In fact Growing Up I could see them right across the street when I lived there (I grew up in a pretty ghetto area, though I know that it was nowhere near as bad as other places)

Also, a semi-common nickname that rhymes, but actually DOESN’T come from that tradition is Ned being short for Edward. It actually comes from a common pet name “mine Ed.” When we started using “my” more, the sounds got re-bracketed into “my Ned.” That’s actually also where the word “nickname” came from. nah, I would rather confide with someone I know than a person I don't know like therapist.
Sometimes you need people outside a situation, not those in a situation who know you/ are biased towards you.
People you know are always great and if they can support you that's awesome, but sometimes they can't or even really shouldn't-- And a therapist is literally intended for that. Hell, maybe they don't know you-- But they can once you open up, and they're actually trained to help with it.
@@null7198 honestly, if my friend would said to me that they would rather talk with a therapist than talk with me. I would be absolutely devasted by that response and I would even question the fact if we are true friends at all. If you know someone and care about someone, than you are able to help them appropriately to their situation, or at least hear them out cause that helps a lot too. I would consider therapist only if you don't have any good friends or family to rely on.
@@Brug98 You may not know how to handle the things they're going through, or maybe they have talked but it just didn't help talking-- Or maybe you're part of it and they need someone outside the situation to talk to? What if they/you're depressed or struggling and can't handle taking on more?
Like even what you said there, that'd be scary for me knowing if I wanted to talk to a therapist rather than my friend they'd question our friendship? That's a literal example of why you May rather have a therapist-- That is a lot more pressure than "Person I pay who's practiced in helping people but otherwise I don't have personal attachments to."
Again, not saying you shouldn't rely on your friends, family and community-- But I am saying they might not have the answers you need, nor the ability/experience to do so effectively, and sometimes a therapist is the best option for a number of reasons.
@@null7198 yes, I m not dismissing the idea of consulting with therapist completely. I m just saying that the person is most likely just paying for service that they probably dont even need. And knowing that you would rather pay a stranger to talk to before even trying to talk with me is very hurtful. Thats the thing you have many people around you and the thing with people is that everyone is different so atleast try to talk to them first before going to therapist. Not to mention that majority of problems that kids and young adults deal with are actually pretty common and it is not very hard to deal with them if you ask someone. And everything is about building trust with people. You dont trust someone, thats a problem. Although i understand that there are some things that regular people wont be able to help you with, especially if you have some mental disability. But it would atleast be good to know what that person is going through.
@@Brug98 I'm just going to put this bluntly because there isn't really a nice way to say it, it isn't fucking about you bro. If your friend goes to therapy, or tells you they'd rather talk to a therapist about something, it isn't a personal dig at your ability to help them nor is it an indication that your friendship isn't strong. It isn't a matter of trust, they just want privacy; and a true friend wouldn't walk all over their friends boundaries because they think they can help more than a therapist. It's fine to care about your friends and want to help them, but you can't really help them if your self esteem and ego are so wrapped up in the act of helping that them seeking help elsewhere hurts your feelings.
I've had 5 season (and 1 particularly fucked up scene) to adapt but hearing Tom Kenny voice a lot of these characters is something I absolutely cannot get used to

Rick and Richard are interchangeable, I forget what that is called but it's similar to John and Jack as well.
