I should admit to my making earlier mistake, that video actually is honest representation, that it begins with uutta kuuta, new moon, and then transitions to full moon before transitioning back to new moon. ja kiitoksia paljon teille!
@laelamarie1 Actually I do not own a copy of Seleniko. I was able to check it out from the local library long enough to explore it. It is one of Värttinä's harder to find CDs. At least if you want to find it at a reasonable price. There are plenty of overpriced offerings for it on the web. It is definitely a most appropriate addition to any Värttinä music collection.
@prosperitycraft Yes, this is a rather soft and mellow version. However, I prefer the Värttinä version that is on the Seleniko album (not available on YT as best as I can determine). The most stirring portion of the song, is the harsh, almost raspy, singing during the lyric: "Pole jalka portahilla. Toini poikkipuoliselta. Assu hanhen askelilla, taputa tavin jaloilla" This is clearly my favorite part...
What a lovely, restful song and video! Sweet and beautiful voices! I enjoyed it so much! Thank you!
Lorna
