    She is a wonderful scientist, I knew her name in association with Lovelock. Only the other day I was thinking to myself why are there not green animals living partly or wholly on photosynthesis, and now I know there are .

      You should read some of her books! She was the last of the contrarian scientists as far as I can say

      @@medaphysicsrepository2639 Gladly! Thank you for the book tip, your channel content, curiousity for STEM/knowledge and the fast response! 😄
      New subscriber recently and would love to be around people like this every day. My goal since a kid, to help the society view what they might be unaware of and gather them up to build together what they couldn't of imagined. So, her legacy will in a few ways, live on. ;)

      I related so hard as a biochem student surrounded by medical students when she said the "naturalists" get thrown to the side. Then she dropped the line and I stared at all the philosophy books on my shelf... SMH LOLOL

    Did I mishear her or did she describe one of the Chicago schools attended as a “black boy jungle?”

    ~She knows bullshit & did not walk in it....she went her own way to learn everything she could to understand the WHY in science....that is why she is extremely intelligent. RIPDr. Margulis.

    Did she really say “black boy jungle kinda situation”???

    • @chikaokolo4929
      @chikaokolo4929 2 года назад +3

      I think she said black board jungle like a classic, mundane and in her words, frightening, high school experience.

      Blackboard jungle. She is referring to either the book and/or the film.
