I just started making my own handles and their knife blanks are on the top if my list for my next project. What I like about their knives are the grinds, they have a perfect height of scandi edge compared to 99% of all the other brands out there. After seeing this video I'm even more impressed with their product, I can't wait to make one. Thanks guys.

working in a HUGE knife factory to n a small local town at the top of the world, hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. it really is an honest life. I admire people that craft things like this. it must be very rewarding. too often today, it gets too busy in the city. we are losing something.....thanks for the trip guys ! PAPA DUKES

+john rossi I'm with you John, I dont think I'd have much problems living like that, especially when working with producing knives. Craftmanship is lost everyday, everyone is too busy checking their phones nowadays to learn anything.
      Thanks for watching!

+Brian West (BrianWest58) It cant be said enough the amount of hospitality we were shown. Two bearded bums from Norway show up with shitty cameragear and wants to film for almost two whole days? Sure, come in! I was a child in a candystore in that production facility, we forgot filming a few times. I hope they'll be able to carry on the production in the years to come, and not to say the least the traditions.

Well, anyways, we will hopefully be back on track, but I do think there's bound to be some delays before this year is over. There's no lack of plans though, so 2016 will hopefully see some pretty cool videos. Thanks for sticking with us!

Thanks for the excellent shop tour! Sometimes I forget how much work it takes to make something even as simple as a knife. It was fun to see that they have process steps as simple as wood drying and as modern and as complicated as a robot knife grinder. With the amount of cutting fluid that robot grinder uses I don't think that there will be a problem with burned edges on Karesuando knives! They really seem to have struck a good balance between supporting local labor and making a great quality product. Thanks again for the tour. :)

+Macho Deth I'm with you, people doesn't make stuff anymore, or fix the shit they buy. They're too busy looking at their cell phones. Even though we share a lot of the fauna with Karesuando, it really is quite different topography wise. It's so flat in those parts.
