- Today we’re in Judge Fleischer’s courtroom for an angry dad moment. The defendant, originally charged with DWI, was ordered (by Judge Fleischer) to attend a special program called Pre-trial Intervention (PTI). She was also ordered to sign up for intensive classes, and begin them by this hearing, according to the judge. She signed up for the class the day before this hearing. She’s also had a bond violation in the past, so Judge Fleischer is fed up with her behavior. Her attorney puts forth a VIGOROUS defense on her behalf, but will it be enough to persuade Judge Fleischer?

This right here is EXACTLY how three adults can sit around advocating for different things and still be respectful.
And give no accountability to a grown adult.
I will bet she wouldn't be tenacious if her client were a man. Additionally a non - hispanic man.
If you don't want 10 to 15 strangers discussing you, digging into your past, deciding your future with little to no say from you, follow the law!!
Seems simple enough..
I really love this judge. He’s the perfect combination of compassionate yet firm. You can really tell that he cares about the people that appear before him. Kudos, Sir! 👏🏻
If you truly resent your choice he will respect it and help. If you have 30+ cases and charges his mercy is equivalent to your empathy of you victims
He really is .. empathy balanced with sternness!!
I love the Probable Cause hearing for the guy that was jaywalking, that the Judge dismissed because he believed the charge was a product of racial profiling.
@@83Ironsidethat was pretty awesome...
But to me , it sounds like She didn't give a shit to the Judge ..
He told her to sign UP the minute she left the court room...
But she didn't !! I think SHE should of went to prison the minute he found out she wasn't doing any class . .she simply refused ..
That's why he got very ticked off at her !!
I don't blame the court judge , one bit !!
If YOU told to do something...YOU DO IT NOW ..THAT minute!!
You don't wait 4 wks later !!
This is the ideal judge. He's like silk, soft but firm. Really appreciate this channel.
She stands there clueless and has no idea how much her attorney is fighting for her. Judge Fleischer looks so mad and frustrated again. So hesitant to give in to her defense attorney. It's not IOP if it's not multiple times a week.
Yeah I saw how her attorney deals with the judge and she will fight for her clients going over everything with the judge and making sure she gets her client what they need.

Good channel , thank you for NOT adding loud , intense intro/outro music that forces one to continually mess with volume control and be on guard to be "ambushed " by loud music that disturbs others in the house and/or neighbors . Thank you very much.
She only registered because she had court. She’d have waited longer if court was later. This is a person that has no accountability and will never change
I currently live in Europe, here it costs about $3500 to obtain a license (driver's ed, driving lessons, state testing etc)! If you are caught with a DWI/DUI there are no scram devices etc., your license is going to be suspended you get points. Max. points in 2 years is 12. If someone uses drugs/alcohol these points are used up quickly and then it's prison!
@@deusvult2302yeap. In USA it is sooooo easy to get a driver license
Exactly 💯 😮😢 sad for her
@@barlowmcmaster9771nope. I am sad for the people whose lives are in danger from her irresponsibility. Not sad for that dumb ass at all. She feels entitled and will NEVER care to succeed in anything she doesn’t want to. Sad for her. 🤡 Yeah right. I’m sad her entitled majesty isn’t in jail, so very sad about that.
@@barlowmcmaster9771not sad for her, she has been given far more chances than almost anyone gets. She is spoiled and entitled. She thinks this is a waste of her time. She needs to spend a substantial amount of time in jail or in a secured rehab. Losing her ability to make her own choices might help her learn to make better ones.
I hope we get an update on this case. Unfortunately, people push everything to it's limits and are forever shocked when consequences are knocking...
The look on her face made me furious. Acting all shocked and confused when she KNOWS what she was supposed to do. Next thing, she'll be calling Daddy or 911 because "SOB! The judge is being MEAN to meeeee!!"

I.O.P Intensive outpatient drug classes. I had to take those when I had a drug charge. They are so easy you can finish them in a month. When i went 15 years ago. It cost 700 to 1000 bucks. I had all my classes done iop sop and community service done in 3 months. Took six drug tests and passed those with no problems. They let me off probation 6 months earlier. People need to understand that u are their property when you are on paper.
Good point.. Also with debt, they own you on paper until it’s paid.
A slave. When your on or off paper. Unconstitutional.
She’s got a smug look on her face as well. She signed up for IOP the day before court and then picked the longest IOP session she possibly could making it so she only had to go one a week
I am a horrible human being because I just paused the video just as he ordered her to go take a drug test and I found myself hoping she is dirty. I must repent immediately. RUclips is rotting my brain.
😅😂
I thought for sure she was going to have a positive drug test
😂
😂😂😂
So did I...only reason is because she needs to learn her lesson, she waited a month to sign up for a required class and if she was dirty that would show she cared less about anything than judge would enforce stricter rules and mess with her probation. Defense attorney can't make her do anything, but her even having one bad test for alcohol is ridiculous!! She doesn't understand that she can't drink one sip of alcohol...she doesnt have any urgency to get things done or clear understanding of the severity of this.
If she did not test clean, I think he would have smoked her. He was over fair today though, because the defense attorney did such a good job.
I'm really starting to wonder if this lawyer is related to that girl? This girl needs a real wake up call cause sorry to say but she looks like she's walking around in a fog.
@@leeroy1408 that is just what defense lawyers do, they are skilled diplomats, negotiators, debaters, and as the judge said everybody in the courtroom is thick skinned

I had probation once for excessive traffic tickets. Not only would I call when I was supposed to but I would pay before the due date. The ladies at the office LOVED me. To this day I call to say hi 😂❤
He needs to just send her butt to jail. It certainly does spit in the face of those who take it seriously, and I’m sure anyone else would have been sent off to jail. I don’t like judges who let these things slide over and over again.
If I ever go to court I really hope I have that lawyer.
Na, you’ll probably get someone who was 212th in their class of 300 and just wants to pay off their student loan debt.
She knew what she was supposed to do from the start because he told her. She just doesn't care and feels she can beat the system. She always has a ready excuse. Her attorney is very good at aiding & excusing.
Wow. ALL 3 are compassionate and caring! ❤❤❤ They’re all 3 trying to help this woman. I hope and pray everything gets worked out and she does better.
She won't because she keeps a free walk
She screwed herself with her procrastination.
Couldn't be bothered to get it done right away!
I think she thought they would never crack down on her!
Someone trying to fix things would show very different behavior. As someone who's been there I know. If they aren't serious, any leniency just hurts them and wastes your time.
And look, all 3 of them even were trying to think of what would actually help this person if they actually took initiative. Literally the defendant is the only person working against herself
That defense attorney is a rock star, this video started with the defendant being sure to be out of chances and she got another chance. People often don't take defense attorneys seriously, especially not public defenders, but this one did a stellar job sticking with this case for two years, as they saif
What a waste of time and money
An entitled spoiler.
Incarceration is also SUPER expensive. Bending over backwards to avoid jail time is cheaper.
That lawyer sees something in her that the Judge does not.
she’s just doing her job
Really ideal set up all around, good advocate, good judge, this is our system in it's ideal nature.
That attorney is amazing. She's a powerful force for her client.
I love how the 3 properly communicated. Showed respect, while trying to help someone that clearly isn't taking her situation seriously
Just a PSA for literally everyone!!!!! It’s not thank you judge, it is “thank you, your honor”
It's showing a sign of respect.
@ Exactly 👍
It’s actually “thank you judge” IF you have a working relationship with the judge. If you’re new to the court, it’s “your honor”
Gotta love a judge that is on the attack for justice. He represents Justice quite well.
She had her chances, she needs prison. She has not taken any of this seriously. Time for a wakeup call
Not fair to those who do it right absolutely infuriating.
We have 2 million people in prison it obviously doesn't work. Court ordered long-term inpatient rehab would atleast have a chance of helping
🗣️If it’s getting expensive stop failing to comply!🤷🏼♀️
That’s what I’m saying .. talking about cost .. but she is causing the cost to go
Up !!
The cost clearly isn’t high enough yet
What an inspirational defense lawyer
For a irresponsible person like this, jail isn't the answer, 1,000 hours of community service is
Good luck with that. This is a person who never learns anything.
ID scanning should be required anywhere alcohol is sold and it should come up that they are not allowed to buy alcohol.
Maybe an immediate drivers license change and adding it to the back of their license. (Like how some are required to wear eye glasses or hearing aids etc)
Can’t do anything about illegal drugs or her buying off others for alcohol.
@@fischersgirl1720US Constitution, 21st Amendment, section 2 -

@@timothydeose1639 yeah well as many drunk drivers who are repeat offenders in this area of Texas, they really should do something.
This Judge is great but he only handles this county.
That attorney is legit !!! She fighting for her !
Who cares what the cost is, it’s punishment for breaking the law. If you don’t take it seriously, the punishment isn’t working.
Sometimes costs come into question because at some point it becomes counterproductive for the person paying for it. If they cannot afford it, they can’t go, they end up in jail, if they truly are making the effort, having a job, working every hour they can, going to the programs, not screwing up, sometimes it’s not possible to make enough money to go. This girl is a joke though, she’s not taking anything seriously. Probably daddy’s money too.

Put her in jail. She is not complying and that's a problem.
Her lawyer was fantastic. I think the defendant is teetering on the brink and her lawyer got her one last chance. I hope she gets it together.
It’s wild to me that he let her attorney argue with him about things he said.
I thought exactly the same, he is really merciful on the defense attorneys
I've noticed that lawyers seems to get more leeway than pro say defendants do. I actually understand that--they're colleagues that have probably worked together on many cases and thee judge knows the lawyers know how things are done. The discussion at the end seemed very informal, which I think is fine.
He's fair. A good judge thinks before making decisions. I'm not surprised when her lawyer was standin on buziness 😂
She was supposed to. But, she did concede that there was no excuse. Standing up for them is why people hire lawyers.
He may have been wrong. She passed up multiple opportunities to say it and finally threw it in at the right time. Definitely not in front of the defendant.
I love watching this judge. He has such amazing character and spirit. He really cares about the people who come before him. That's why he gets so upset when they screw up.
She needs to go directly to jail.

@@loveybear5042exactly what they're paid for. Whether or not she believed in the possibility for her client's reform, she did her absolute best to defend her, which is what they are paid to do.
I do not understand how people don’t take felony charges, let alone MISDEMEANOR charges, seriously! These are things that real estate agents can see, future employers, the COURT SYSTEM! Best to get it done and over with
So she should be treated the same as everyone else, so and if she acts like she has no clue, so she needs a wake up call
These judges on RUclips have a double standard; they only hold accountable men. It’s the same scenario each time.
You know I don’t think it has to do with the sex, I think it’s mostly the situation of the person, did you see the video about the trans boy, the judge knew he was a minor and he wanted to help him, let’s keep in mind RUclips is not showing all his cases, they only show certain ones, like those that think they will get away with it, but don’t and this one, if she would have came back with something in her system he wouldn’t have cared, I think that’s what helped her, unfortunately common sense is not something a lot of people have, but comparing her case with others we have to agree she isn’t close to what others have done
She is sooo luck, this judge is in a good mood
the defense attorney is standing up to her knees in her own bullshit
That’s what they do. Especially public defenders
That's what an attorney does, genius
Alcohol is truly something of the devil because wow did she mess her life up for a drink! Smh

The defendant knows what she is doing
That woman is getting on my last nerve
17:32 I believe Judge F did tell her what she needed to do but she wasn’t listening and didn’t retain it, so she called around to all the IOP programs they gave her and found the easiest one. 🙄 people like this will put in effort if they feel it benefits them.
This was frustrating to watch. We have too many deaths related to DWI's in the greater Houston area. I hope other judges do not allow second chances when someone does not follow the rules given to them during that initial court proceeding.
Honestly that was that best defense lawyer I’ve ever seen. I’m rooting for her and I hope her client gets her life together.
What? If she needs to know something why did she not ask, it’s her freedom, she should have asked, those excuses are so lame, everyone does the same thing, no one wants to take anything serious
I got 3 years of probation and jumped through EVERY HOOP. It was for a simple possession charge, a crime that doesn't involve another person and is completely nonviolent.
I jumped through every single hoop. Every. Single. Hoop. Once a week for 2 and a half years.
Most people after you go for awhile and show youre doing what you should get dropped down, mine went in reverse because my PO changed to a new officer and I was one of her first cases.
2 and a half years going once a week. The only reason it even changed was because I finally called my lawyer after TWO AND A HALF YEARS of doing everything they asked, but COVID happen then anyway so it didnt even matter.
I cannot emphasize how hard lengthy probation can be. You're not locked in a cage but youre certainly not free. It's like a gigantic safe hanging above your head for the entire length of probation. Your freedom is dictated by someone else. Your freedom of movement is restricted: I got a pass every time I left the COUNTY, let alone the state.
My crime didn't involve a vehicle, they suspended my license anyway for 6 months. Did I drive with a suspended license?
No. I took a bus EVERY WEEK TO one of TWO probation offices they could send me to, because again my old officer only worked out of the one city closest to me, but the new one worked in that one and one much further away.
I remember taking the bus to that office in the SNOW. Two hours on a bus for a 10 minute meeting after an hour of waiting.
Every week. For 2.5 years.
This is an example of someone who just "doesn't get it." They will, EVENTUALLY, but it might take an actual rock bottom.
Possession isn’t a victimless crime. You were only able to possess because someone sold to you. Someone was only able to sell to you because of multiple chains of people leading back to the supplier. At every stage of the process there are victims and crimes being committed. You were both a victim of the dealer and a criminal at the time of possession.
I can really appreciate how much respect they hold for each other as lawyers and the goat judge fleisher

Love seeing a attorney fighting for her client...u may not agree but what a fighter! Lucky girl...she better get her act together, especially her prolonging everything.
Her behaviour may not be intentional. What if she has ADHD and can't get stay focused and organized despite her wish to comply? I'm just saying don't judge her too soon until you know for sure that she could comply and didn't. That said, ADHD doesn't get her a pass, it just means that she needs a shorter leash, and will do better with shorter deadlines. So I agree with how the judge is handling the compliance of this defendant.
