Huh? What? Not having studies economics or financials, I don't understand how this is possible. According to definition:
"Gross domestic product (GDP) is the total monetary or market value of all the finished goods and services produced within a country’s borders in a specific time period."
Trading is a service. So GDP should contain the so-called "trade volume" and therefore trade volume CANNOT be bigger than GDP. Hence, I doubt this sentence and this video. I just don't know how much of it is B$ and to what extent. Maybe Singapore will have no problem after all or even prosper despite US-China trade war.

There are many win-win arrangements going on between the US and Singapore in various fields of engagement. No downturn in G2G relationship. We've worked well with Trump before. For example, Singapore has long been pro-Israel while it is only in recent times that the US' America First began to also read Israel First even in the US. Furthermore, Singapore did not wait for the US to turn isolationist before it embarked on greater regionalization initiatives. So, though there may be some impact in the financial and technological sectors, these may not translate to a GAME OVER for Singapore under Trump as alluded to by this otherwise excellent clip. 😂 ❤
