US registeration process is one of the best, in India the cost of registration is as much as the cost of the vehicle. If I’m buying a 10 lakh Rs car, the cost of registration (GST+Rd Tax+Reg Tax+Cess) is almost 3-5 Lakhs which is a lot, considering I won’t even keep the car for that long. Indian car registration costs actually slow car purchase growth as consumers can’t afford paying such high taxes. In US, you only pay for years you kept the car. Yes, initially for new car it will be high but gradually decrease.
??? USA has taxes too mate. 10.3% sales tax in the state I stay, then, registration, tabs. Then tabs every year which in special cities like where I stay is almost $450 a year for number plate renewal. (higher if costlier car). Would you like to pay $250 for a small bike's number plate every year ? That's 18,000 rs. In 5 years I'd have paid them half cost of my r3 already (excluding taxes that were paid while purchasing). Don't even get me started on insurance. And oh, every time you sell the car . A full tax needs to paid again based on value of the car then. (By new owner). If you pen down the math, you'll thank the prices in India ;)
@@WhatsupKrish Even in the most expensive US state/city, automobile taxes are way lower than India. Yes, I’d prefer paying RTO Car Registration taxes yearly v/s paying it upfront for 15 years, people don’t even know if they’re going to live for 15yrs, why should one pay 15yr upfront tax and also pay interest on it if one is financing it. Tax is upwards of 30% to 50% in India + DTO/RTO registration tax which is 8-15% on ex-showroom price of the car. If I’m buying a 15-20 Lakh car, my upfront registration cost alone is upwards of 3 lakh which I need to pay upfront for 15yrs together, heck I might not even keep the car for 15yrs. You need to see this from an average middle class Indian salary point of view, 3-4 lakh upfront is alot of money for car registration alone v/s yearly ($200-300) depreciating plate registration system in US. Yes, first/second year cost is higher depending on the cost of vehicle, for my Honda it was $350 first year and down to $292 second year. This system is way better than scrambling 3-4 lakh ($5000) together for a new car purchase in India. I’d think twice before buying new a car in India v/s in US I can go buy any car any day, I don’t have to think about paying plate registration on top of other taxes upfront. GST is upwards of 18% on used car sales in India, so it’s the same. There’s no registration tax on used cars in India, which is unfair advantage to the 2nd owner as the government has already sucked the 15yr registration cost upfront from the 1st owner.
What pisses me off more is that ST3 work is halted, yet they're not gonna relax the tax they collect for it this year. And with Inslee staying this term too, you can forget about it. 🤣
BTW that Mutton Biriyani was hilarious 😂😂😂 I'm going to have Biryani now😂😂😂 And Ohhh God it is so expensive🙈🙈🙈. . . Nobody give this idea to the current Indian Government they have already sold everything to Billionaires they'll just adopt this thing🤦
Oops! Looks like I left my address on that document 😜
😂
Awesome video 👍🏻 nicely explained........Also just like in India, is front number plate mandatory for all vehicles ?
Will make another video.. I have a list of differences to learn.
You don't need to remove the Year sticker. Just put the new one on top.
Realized that once I dug my knife in. 😅 There's no going back. 😁
