Brian Wilson was a musical genius. Writing, recording arranging and performing, he was among the top artists in the world. He and Paul McCartney had a sort of a friendly rivalry. Pet sounds inspired the Beatles Sgt. Pepper album. Both have so much respect for the pother's talent. Brian Wilson was just put on a "conservatorship" because of his dementia. The Beach Boys are basically a family band originally made up of brothers Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson and cousin Mike Love along with Al Jardine (not related).
I sing along with Paul McCartney and cry with Brian Wilson.

We moved to the beach in SC in '73. I was in heaven at 13. Everyone surfed. We body surfed AT NIGHT. Then Peter Benchley ruined it for me.
