It s merely speculative They respected and and mutually admired each other Let s not forget this is not as easy as we may want to see it It s a world of contracts and white interest ... Michael had terrible problems with Sony and that Motolarubish Let s not get into something we may not have a clue about
Wait Guys dont Get confused. The truth is: the duet was planned for the 1998 version on the MYLIYL album. Not the 2000 for her Greatest Hits version. . Very interesting that IITYT was originally already planned as a duet . Imagine the 1998: mariah..faith Evans..missy... L. Hill, ect ect and Michael What an album
I give mj a pass because he asked her to do the song " I just can't stop loving you" and her team made her decline..and she slept with his brother jermaine so even if he found her attractive that's gross
@@bobby12348 possibility but the song was good and you have to admit was his style..theres no reason why if it was only the song choice he would not call her back to tell her himself.mj called everybody for any reason and he liked Whitney so to me there had to be more reason why he sent someone to reject her offer... Like maybe he was salty because she turned down his song he really wanted her to sing that duet and was excited about it..because if he really wanted to work with her and had no hard feelings he would've rescheduled or found a song they both liked. It just makes more sense that he was being petty for a reason otherwise he would've just declined it his self. And tbh I would be salty too lol Whitney was a new artist so she probably just did what she was told but there's a time when your an artist you can stand up for yourself and be like " I know the risk for doing the duet with mj but I want to take those risk because were friends" but instead she let Clive Davis make that important decision for her ...mj probably wondered if they were so close why didn't she stand up more and just do it.
It was well known that Michael Jackson was not the most humble man and had a ridiculous ego. Though I would have loved to see the greatest dancer do a duet with the greatest singer I much prefer Whitney's vocals all over this track. When she hits that bridge it just brings tears to my eyes. If weeeeeeee take this chaaaaaance and exteeeeend to each other romance. Iiiiii hoooooope it would beeeee... YAAAASSSS WHITNEY!! Oh well Michael missed out on being apart on of and album (My Love Is Your Love) that was bigger than the one he released right after called invincible.
i don’t believe all that. I think he didn’t like the song and he didn’t have the balls to tell Whitney “no” so he had his employee do it. He could never fire anyone either. He hated confrontation.
Invincible wasn‘t promoted a single time because Michael was fighting against Sony music. You people really like to bash people my god😒 You don‘t even know why he rejected her so stop talkin bullshit.
george michael was better to the song later on that duet than Michael. Big "what if" is MJ and WH duet in I just Can’t Stop Loving You. That was mistake by Whitney and Clive to turn it down
Whitney got back at him because, he wanted her to see with him on( I can't stop loving you )she declined and said no to Michael.😁 Heprobably didn't like it that she was dating Jermaine and he was married. She alsosaid Janet couldn't sing.😁
Maybe she was trying to make it up to him God bless there souls all three she and George did and awesome job if only they could have handled there own decisions blessings to all 🙏🙏🙏
OK, for anyone who has already read Robyn's book, exactly HOW MANY TIMES is Michael Jackson mentioned in there? I imagine that he's mentioned in there more than once, huh? That's all I'm interested in knowing about that book----nothing else.
So...whitney turned down “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.” MJ was already established but wanted to follow up Thriller and be current. Whitney was a new shining star. She didn’t help him lol. I don’t think that was the right song for them. And MJ calculates when to come back and release something.
@@timmy841212 it was a melody that sold in the 80s. Nkotb slow songs were the type of ballads that did well in the 80s for teens. MJ knew what he was doing.
@@timmy841212 agreed. But songs that become iconic in pop music will become the sound of that decade. When that happens it’s time stamped preventing it to age well cuz aging well. Many people say the Thriller album is very dated. Well yeah, it defined an era...Same goes for Bad and the songs in that album. MJ was going for that.
Y'know, I don't even BELIEVE that story about Nip & Mike! Why? Well, for one thing, because Nip was MARRIED to Brown then. It's highly unlikely that she would've wanted to sing a DUET like that with Mike. C'mon, it seems more likely that she would've wanted to sing that song with her HUSBAND, right? See, whenever I hear or read stuff, I don't automatically BELIEVE it, like most other people do. You gptta ANALYZE what you READ or HEAR before judging it as FACTUAL. Now I'm really wondering if MAYBE Robyn knows the SECRET!!! I'm talking about the SECRET about Nip & Mike that I've been spreading around on social media for YEARS now----that they're still ALIVE, HAPPILY MARRIED to EACH OTHER while raising children TOGETHER in the PEACE and PRIVACY of RETIREMENT!!! I TRULY BELIEVE that, in my HEART and always will too.
That has nothing to do with the video or the topic of the song LMAO🤦🏽♂️😂she was supposed to be on MJ’s song for his album originally, he wouldn’t have asked for the request to do the song if what you’re saying was true (which isn’t the case😂) Clive Davis didn’t want have Whitney “overexposed” because her album was getting ready to come out that same year. But, no one mentions that😂💀
I swear, if Nip and Mike had started collaborating with each other early in her career, I really think that she would've become 'Mrs. Michael Jackson' & Queen of Neverland!!
That was in 1984 - 1985 (the affair between Jermaine and Whitney). And the song I just can’t stop loving you was released in 1987. So you can’t use that as an excuse since MJ approached Whitney probably around 1986 for a duet. I think the reason he declined is because he was going through a lot in his personal life and wasn’t up for that collab
What I don't get is how Robin was able to thoroughly write all that history about Whitney and proclaim her deep love for her, yet where was she since Whitney left Bobby?! Why didn't she reach out to Whitney. If she knew that she could've used her friendship again. She really could have.
Stop it.... Robyn was suffering in that situation and held on as long as she could. If you watch the documentary where Robyn leaves at the end of that tour she said it's killing me. What was going on with Whitney was hurting her so bad she couldn't take it and it was literally killing her. That woman gave up her college schooling to go with Whitney and protect her and that she did until she couldn't anymore. If you want to blame anyone blame number 1 Whitney... Then the rest of the leaches that sucked her dry and exploited her for her talent including her so-called husband. What Whitney and Robyn built for 20 yrs went straight down the toilet in less than 6 after she left. Robyn kept shit in order. Robyn was pulling f'n rabbits out of hats to get things done and walked away with NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT EXCEPT A BROKEN HEART AND LIFE! She was the least to benefit of all people and it's sad. Robyn had moved on got married and had ( adopted ) children. 8 or 9 yrs after Whitney's marriage and having a child herself.
@@Lovetolivetruely geez I didn't mean for Robyn to reach out into Whitney's pants. I meant to reach out as in "Hey girl, how r u? Wanna get together some time and laugh it off?" Like as besties they used to be. Or simply friends. You read the whole Robyn book and still didn't get the part where she said that they were way past their intimate days by the time she got married. You seem to think too deep into Robyn's role in Whitney's life after marriage. They developed a employer employee relationship but they were fundamentally friends. They were friends before they started exploring each other's bodies. And Robyn wrote a letter to her best friend and never sent it. I'm sure she regrets that she couldn't have done a little more towards the end of Whitney's life. Hence why she wrote that book. Because as she said "I wrote this book because I wanted Whitney to be the one holding up her legacy, her accolades, and not the noise that's surrounded her death". Ok not in those exact words but queue one of her book promotions.
@@Lala-Lin-i2u obviously you haven't done the homework. They did talk but if you do the research you would understand. I don't mean to come off in a negative way so forgive me if it seems that way. I just know Robyn truly loved her and not just a romantic way. A true freaking friend in which many of us never really experience and I'm glad she had that. That's special. And for all that girl dealt with throughout life even as a child in school is just a damn shame. Let's not forget her family. But I admire that she continued to love her family in spite of it all. And she still protected them. But Robyn had to separate herself from the madness for her own sake and life.
@@Lovetolivetruely going back to my original comment, Robyn did not reach out since Whitney divorced Bobby. Whitney left a message in 2006 that Robyn "accidentally " deleted. Just go back to Robyn's book. I know she wanted to be rid of Whitney because her whole life revolved around Whitney before she left around 2000. But Whitney was divorced and still alive for 7 years and not once did Robyn think of checking in on her. Not having her phone number was no excuse. It was the 2000s, there were multiple ways to connect with people. I'm not blaming Robyn for Whitney. I'm just making the point that she didn't even reach out during those 7 yrs and though she kept quiet for another 7 yrs since her death, writing this book clearly shows that she had some type of resentment towards for how she left things. Whitney kept calling her from time to time. Robyn never thought to call her back. I know she regrets that she didn't put more effort in reconnecting with her. They were older women anyway, Robyn had kids by 2009, so I highly doubt that a casual reunion with Whitney was going to interfere with her new life.
@@Lala-Lin-i2u wrong .. Robyn had no immediate access to Whitney. Whitney was able to contact Robyn at anytime. Plus every time they did run into each other and were about to take time to talk Bobby would for whatever reason pop up out of the blue and they never got to talk. Do your homework sweetie. They wanted Robyn gone and once she was gone they worked just as hard to keep it that way as they did causing the split.

WOW!! Things That Should've Been!! Who Knows Why he didn't want to do it, BUT what I Find Odd Is Michael Went On To Work With Rodney Jerkins; Who Produced Several Tracks On His Official Last Album. Just As He Did On My Love Is Your Love. So I Think There's Some Truth To This. Sad That He Didn't Do it. George Stepped Up But Of the Two I would Prefer Michael.
I don't think MJ said no...I think it was his handlers said no!
It s merely speculative
They respected and and mutually admired each other
Let s not forget this is not as easy as we may want to see it
It s a world of contracts and white interest ... Michael had terrible problems with Sony and that Motolarubish
Let s not get into something we may not have a clue about
Robyn will it be a movie coming soon ??
❤️❤️❤️❤️
RIPOSATE in pace ANGELI 🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️👏🏻👏🏻

Wait Guys dont Get confused. The truth is: the duet was planned for the 1998 version on the MYLIYL album. Not the 2000 for her Greatest Hits version. . Very interesting that IITYT was originally already planned as a duet . Imagine the 1998: mariah..faith Evans..missy... L. Hill, ect ect and Michael
What an album
Clive Davis has some guts to ask Whitney to make the call after he turned down his own duet request . Wow 🥺
I keep finding out about different Black men rejecting Whitney Houston...
Sickening
I give mj a pass because he asked her to do the song " I just can't stop loving you" and her team made her decline..and she slept with his brother jermaine so even if he found her attractive that's gross
That wasn't rejection . That was probably because Whitney was seeing Jermaine his brother
he was married. Michael probably didn't like that.
@@lelelew2735 Michael probably didn't like the song that got nothing to do with rrjection ever artist don't want to sing anything.
Haha hate him love him
He is the undisputed king of Pop till this day!
Plus Whitney also rejected him in his song that they were to do together
I don't think that's true. Almost evening everyone he met described him as humble so I disagree.
i don’t believe all that. I think he didn’t like the song and he didn’t have the balls to tell Whitney “no” so he had his employee do it.
He could never fire anyone either. He hated confrontation.
Invincible… so many things went wrong with that album…
Invincible wasn‘t promoted a single time because Michael was fighting against Sony music. You people really like to bash people my god😒
You don‘t even know why he rejected her so stop talkin bullshit.
Bonjour il y a t il une vidéo qui parle de cela en français? merci
Michael may have still been mad that Whitney was not permitted to sing with him on "I Just Can't Stop Loving You" back in the 80's.
At 2:36...Is she singing - "Oh Robin, Robin"?
Could be. Hard to tell. It also sounded like "Robert" (Bobby). 😂
Edit: I found out what she actually said, it was "oh my my my I!"
I'm sorry but whitney definitely said OH ROBERT ROBERT OR OH ROBIN ROBIN, OR OH ROBERT ROBIN
george michael was better to the song later on that duet than Michael. Big "what if" is MJ and WH duet in I just Can’t Stop Loving You. That was mistake by Whitney and Clive to turn it down
Michael Jackson is my fav artist of all time but damn this was kinda cold what he did to Whitney, I can't even be bias about this situation
Michael might didn't like the song. Whitney was dating Jermaine and Jermaine was married. Michael probably didn't like that.
Whitney got back at him because, he wanted her to see with him on( I can't stop loving you )she declined and said no to Michael.😁 Heprobably didn't like it that she was dating Jermaine and he was married. She alsosaid Janet couldn't sing.😁
Whitney rejected Michael too.
And there's nothing wrong in saying no it's not mandatory to work with someone.they both had their own reasons
@@fk8395 ohhh okay
Well MJ hated confrontation. He had others communicate what he was too fearful to.
Maybe she was trying to make it up to him God bless there souls all three she and George did and awesome job if only they could have handled there own decisions blessings to all 🙏🙏🙏
Quincy Jones said Michael Jackson was a prick....
OK, for anyone who has already read Robyn's book, exactly HOW MANY TIMES is Michael Jackson mentioned in there? I imagine that he's mentioned in there more than once, huh? That's all I'm interested in knowing about that book----nothing else.
Saffire Channing Twice
Aw, is that all? I had hoped that Mike would be mentioned in Robyn's book more than that. Thanks for answering my above question.
This and then she wrote about the trip to Neverland for Whitney to present that award to him.
And that’s it. Nothing romantic.
Two of you death body with rock in under the ground but ,👑 ghost belong for 🌍.
🌍will enjoy it in spirit.
So...whitney turned down “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.” MJ was already established but wanted to follow up Thriller and be current. Whitney was a new shining star. She didn’t help him lol. I don’t think that was the right song for them. And MJ calculates when to come back and release something.
I didn't like the song... seriously,
IJCSLY was so unromantic to me. It sounded like a song written for New Kids on the Block lol
@@timmy841212 it was a melody that sold in the 80s. Nkotb slow songs were the type of ballads that did well in the 80s for teens. MJ knew what he was doing.
@@joelgarcia3907 I know. Doesn't mean it aged well. Lol
She was an internalizer very dangerous
Really? That's absurd
I thought you just said you don't believe stuff before you analyze. Do you have evidence? Or it's just another gut feeling 👀
She should have stop smoking If it's ur job, u must be serious about ur voice and respect it
Whitney would've sung michael under the table. He would have been up staged and he knew it.
And that is the truth.
But, no one mentions that😂💀
@@Sam___________ Actually it got mentioned a lot lol
@@timmy841212 didn’t say it in the video, and people in the comments didn’t know. It was a general statement for most ppl lol
Lol
Exactly
Vocally Mj can’t match Whitney
Michael asked Whitney to sing a duet “I just can’t stop loving you” back in the late 80s that’s would’ve been the song for centuries
MJ was intimidated by Whitney
Whitney was dating Jermaine Jackson and he was married. Michael probably didn't want her to work with him.
Robin just is airing dirty laundry.🙄
