In this video, I discuss Bitcoin's price hitting new highs, nation-state adoption of Bitcoin, and what Bitcoin's critics got wrong.
Bitcoin is the single best monetary asset in the world. There is no second best. The game theory suggests that Bitcoin is going to end up on every single balance sheet in the world:

There's been a huge sea-change in 2024. There will be trillions of dollars of capital entering BTC over the next few years.
There are also going to be next-level nation-state attacks, PSYOPs, intelligence agency shenanigans, fork wars, wolves in sheep's clothing trying to sabotage Bitcoin, etc.
It's going to be really exciting and terrifying at the same time. I'm grateful for all of you who are on this Bitcoin journey together with me and other Bitcoiners.

See I was in alts in 2021 but bought my first
Bitcoin early 2021 a buddy of mine was an xrp army guy…. After getting tired of flipping nfts in sol and cardano and realizing the stupidity of it I was blessed to find bitcoin university channel well then trader university back in 2022 around april and I started turning into a bitcoin maxi converted all alts to bitcoin sleep like a baby now I actually dumped all my condo earnings from the condo I sold the other year into bitcoin it’s been the best decision ever I sleep like a baby even during the massive pull backs and just DCA
Same here too. My brother has made a couple of congratulatory calls to me, but still won't buy any himself. And he could well afford to -- far far better than I!
@ now we’ve entered the bull market. I don’t even want to recommend buying anymore. It doesn’t go up in a straight line and it’ll just be too much drama. Exactly 13 months ago when the blackrock ceo announced was the time to recommend a buy to friends/family in terms of risk/reward/emotions which I correctly called.

- run a node
- take your self custody
- if you mine, make your own template
- ordinals are scam
- cardano is not a Bitcoin L2

In a few short words, can you tell me why i should consider running a node?
@@subdiplomaticThe main benefit is in the privacy it adds to your workflow, since there isn't a middleman potentially linking your IP address (which can potentially be linked to your real world identity) with your transactions. Secondarily, if you run Bitcoin Knots, your node can help add resistance to the spam, by filtering it out of your node's Mempool and not forwarding it to your peers. And finally, it can be used in conjunction with Datum to push back against mining centralization (which could potentially be susceptible to government capture)
If it wasn't for this channel I would have sold all my BTC and called it a day when it got down below 20K. As painful as it was, I sold all my beloved photo gear (Nikon FE2, F100, 105mm f2.5 Ai-S, plus 40 more lenses) and bought Bitcoin. Now, even the wife says we are not going to sell one single sat. Mr kratter, we here owe you big. That catchup in Lugano is looking great.

This old boomer got on the rollercoaster in 2020. As fun as the ascent was in 2021, the ride down in 2022 was brutal. Yet, I kept the faith and never sold a single sat. I converted all of my heretical crapto coins to BTC, and kept up my DCA regime. Throughout this time I had my wife's (married her in 1982) solid support.

I am going through a bitlife crisis. Happens when:
- your stacks stop moving the needle
- net worth fluctuates more than annual salary in a single day
- fiat job loses all meaning
Yep. It was mind-blowing and humbling all at the same time. I actually teared up at one point last cycle when it was passing 50k. Like I believed in myself when no one else (except my wife) did. Now…these moves don’t mean much when you’re kind of numb to it. I never wanted fancy material things, just the ability to feel content and help others when I can. I am blessed.

I've been tracking Bitcoin for years. Back in 2017 I got hacked and my Binance account got cleared out. Scared me from the market even though it was a relatively small amount stolen. Finally in 2022 I liquidated half my stocks and pulled the trigger and bought at 16K not realizing I was literally buying at the bottom of the cycle. At the time it just seemed like an enticing price. Best decision I've ever made. Been watching your channel for the last year. Thanks for what you do.

This is why I try to live my life by "principle". It let me see the "principles of bitcoin" over 4 years ago, and I went balls deep. I wasn't even worried at 16k. Why? Because when you stick to "principle" the end results fall in line. Time + Pressure are undefeated, always.

Four years from now, will a majority of people think the growth in Bitcoin wealth was fairly and equitably distributed?
Will there come a day when disclosure of Bitcoin ownership is subject to hate and violence?
Will people demand a wealth redistribution in the form of a tax at some point during Bitcoin’s adoption?
Not a hater, just trying to plan ahead.
On the 4th of July of each year, Americans celebrate an event that was supported by a minority (45% tops) in 1776. (About 20% were opposed; the rest indifferent.) Yes, bitcoin adoption - today - has far less support than that (1.25% globally), but we suspect that adoption will grow. Bitcoin threatens the enslaving power of statists - the ones who claim a monopoly on violence for *OUR greater good.* They will threaten, persecute, steal and murder. As British HODL's second rule goes: STFU if you own bitcoin. Avoid extravagance ("muh Lambo bros"). What is left? Try to convert the populist masses away from supporting the statists by teaching them Austrian economics and monetary theory and being anti-war. Hope that they come to a place where they can discover the light for themselves. That is pretty much the path I travelled on.
I’m actually saddened and stressed that the price is skyrocketing. This means that we will most likely NEVER be able to purchase any sizable amount of Bitcoin ever again at low prices. I don’t think anyone is realizing that.
It's definitely bittersweet. Of course, knowing Bitcoin it could crash back down to 60k on its way to 200k

Hi Mathew, thanks for all the great content. I’ve a quick question on connecting an old Trezor to desktop sparrow wallet. I run my own full node and I have the desktop sparrow wallet connected through my node. I’ve tried connecting and old Trevor of mine to the sparrow wallet but the Trezor shows up empty. This wallet has a passphrase on it but neither the decoy (standard) or passphrase wallet show up after I import the xpub. Does this maybe have anything to do with the Script type? (Legacy vs Native Segwit vs Nested Segwit vs Taproot)?
I hope this question makes its way to you. I’ve been a subscriber to your channel paid courses and my subscription just expired. Would’ve posed this question in the chat forum instead.
I know the wallet isn’t empty because I can access it just fine in the Trezor suite. Just wanted to connect to it through my own node without necessarily recovering the wallet via seed phrase. You made a video about this some months ago (how to recover hardware wallet if Trezor or Ledger goes bankrupt) and someone had a similar comment which you addressed in a follow-up video. That doesn’t seem to work in my case.
