Listening to her singing makes me feel calm and serene. Towards the end of the video where Umji took off her mask, the comment made by one of the celeb (not sure who but someone in music industry) on the celeb panel is: A singer need to sing in a certain style. There was an expectation like this, especially for female singers. But a person who sings like this (Umji) needs to emerge/come out, from our country. Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston style of singers are not the only singers. A lot of singers that sings like Umji needs to emerge/come out so that we will have a variety of singers

This is the reason why gfriend works well as a group. They have six vocalists that have different skill sets that complements each other well. And there is always a member that have similar vocals to another member so when someone goes on hiatus, another membercan cover her parts well.
