Sadly when non-Korean artists perform in Korea, they don't make as much money as Korean artists (there's a law). A number of Chinese artists leave Kpop because of this law. Lay makes A LOT more dollar in China than in Korea - and he has the power to do what he wants - his voice, his vision.
The visual the budget the time and hard work youll see it cause their serious about their craft, art, and the fans. You wont see them with all them chains and blings they rather put that to their craft for us and thats how they pay back and love what they do and how it should be. Unlike the western majority would put the money around their necks and thangs and have lower budgets on their MV. They rather pocket profits and floss their bling instead of putting it on us.
